Welcome to the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot presented by Texas Health! In 2009 the distance was changed to 5K and the course was certified.
For over 55 years, this Thanksgiving tradition has brought families, friends, and athletes together for a fun-filled celebration! We're 90 days away from Trot! This is not just any 5K or 8 mile course. This is a Thanksgiving North Texas tradition that has been held for 58 years and has something for the entire family!
We will have a face painters, kiddie train track, petting zoo, an AstroTurf soccer field, a costume contest, and food trucks! Pups are welcomed too!

We’re excited to welcome La Madeleine Bakery & Cafe, an iconic Dallas brand, to the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot presented by Texas Health.
la Madeleine is bringing a little extra sweetness to this year’s Trot. Participants will receive a gift card for a free pastry in their Trot packet at Packet Pickup in November, while supplies last. On Thanksgiving morning, la Madeleine will also be serving delicious baked goods to our guests in The Roost VIP area.

We recently held our annual, back-to-school Health Expo that is designed to help families have a healthy and successful start to the new school year. Funds generated from the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot, presented by Texas Health help support programs like these that help families across North Texas.
Over 1,000 people attended this event and were able to provide 400 backpacks with school supplies, 500 tennis shoes, fitness and healthy food cooking demos, and prizes.

2️⃣ TWO hotelier options: The Omni and Aloft
3️⃣ Soccer field - The soccer field is a new addition this year, celebrating our city’s love for the game. While there will be no organized matches, the AstroTurf space provides plenty of opportunities for children and soccer fans alike to practice their skills and enjoy the fun.
