How will you know you can if you don’t try?
Building Tiny Renaissance Homes is one of the things I love the most.
I didn’t know anything about real estate development, construction or rural land. I didn’t have a father to teach me. What I did have is tenacity, resolve, a great family and inner confidence to figure it out.
This week, I am paying homage to Dolly Parton because she stood for what was right. She did great things and she wrote great music. I grew up listening to her in Texas. I am grateful for the principles she left us.
If you have any doubt…try. I’m a living witness the impossible is possible.

Each day I post my real life in hopes of inspiring a woman who believes she can’t create the life she wants in her second act.
A lady drove by my tiny house today really slow. Of course, I was very apprehensive and stared at her vehicle over my glasses anticipating something that would sour my day. She rolled down her window as she stopped at my driveway and said “You have built something so beautiful! Wow! Amazing. Are you renting tiny homes?”
I became obsessed with developing a micro community with a garden, wellness spa, tiny homes and recreational spaces that accentuate the simple things in life. Allow us to touch grass in spaces intentionally designed from my imagination.
I said thank you to her twice. My fear subsided. I smiled and continued watering my new shrubs. I almost wanted to cry not because of fear or sadness but because I inspired a stranger from another walk of life to believe it is possible.
Soon, hundreds of you will get to experience my tiny Renaissance spaces. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.
Do it…
In 2022, I submitted offers to buy a traditional home more than 20 times.
Every offer was beat by a cash offer far higher than mine and far exceeded the value of the home.
I gave up. The life I thought I had was not reality. Someone else was dictating where I get to live. So, I decided to figure out my next plan.
I saw a woman on YouTube living in a custom tiny home. I had never seen a tiny home before. I had never seen a park model home before. I became obsessed.
It took me 18 months to save money I earned from consulting, decrease my spending by 90%, learn how to purchase undeveloped raw land on my own, and build the homestead I wanted. Even after a contractor stole over $10,000 - I didn’t quit.
I kept going.
The entire process, lessons learned and complete 5-step framework is in my book, “Big Tiny Money” on Amazon
I now own 4 tiny homes, 1 RV, 1 trailer and 4 micro cabins and three properties without private investors. I get to create the spaces for us now.
You can, too. No gatekeeping. I share it all. Pick up the book and workbook today and start your journey.

I wanted to improve the exterior before we started work on the outdoor spa behind it.
