CLUB STATEMENT

Capital City SC is deeply disappointed by The League for Clubs’ decision to remove our Men’s First Team from the National Final Four following our Regional Final victory.

Our players, coaches, and supporters earned their place through their performances on the field. To have that opportunity taken away as the result of an administrative error - rather than any deliberate wrongdoing by our club - is incredibly difficult to accept.

Throughout the competition, we relied on the league’s official systems and published procedures. In this instance, those procedures were not followed. We received no communication that a suspension was to be served, and the player remained available for selection on the league’s official Match Day Roster. Despite this, the consequences of that administrative failure have fallen entirely on our club.

While we respectfully disagree with the decision, nothing can take away what this group achieved this season. We are immensely proud of our players, coaches, alumni, and supporters, who continue to represent Capital City SC with professionalism, passion, and integrity.
We remain committed to providing opportunities for our players and staff to compete at the highest level available to us, and we look forward to continuing to showcase the quality, ambition, and values of Capital City SC wherever we compete.

Our men’s side battled RGV Red Crowns to a hard-fought 1-1 draw before holding their nerve to win the penalty shootout **4-2**, securing the **2026 South Texas Conference Championship**.

This team showed everything the game demands—resilience, composure, and belief when it mattered most.

What makes this title even more special is who represents the badge. This squad is built from **Capital City SC alumni and staff**, proudly giving back to the club that helped shape them.
