"The Manster" didn't just play football. He DOMINATED it for 14 straight seasons without asking for a single day off.
Randy White was the heart of the Doomsday Defense. Nine Pro Bowls, eight All-Pro selections, Super Bowl XII Co-MVP alongside Harvey Martin, and only ONE game missed in his entire 14-year career. He finished with 111 sacks and 1,104 career tackles, and he did it all in a Cowboys uniform from 1975 to 1988. That is franchise loyalty at its finest. As this 2026 defense gets rebuilt around Quinnen Williams, Rashan Gary, and Christian Parker's new 3-4 scheme, it's worth remembering what a GREAT Cowboys defense actually looks like. History doesn't repeat itself. But sometimes it rhymes so loud you can't ignore it.
In 2005, the Cowboys were coming off a 6-10 season with the 27th-ranked scoring defense. Bill Parcells was converting Dallas to a 3-4 scheme and needed defensive playmakers FAST. So the Cowboys used two first-round picks on defense: DeMarcus Ware at 11th overall and Marcus Spears at 20th. Ware led the team with eight sacks as a rookie and went on to become a Hall of Famer with 117 career sacks as a Cowboy. Fast forward to 2026: two straight losing seasons, worst defense in the NFL, switching to a new 3-4 under Christian Parker. Two first-round picks on defense again: Caleb Downs and Malachi Lawrence. Same blueprint. Same urgency. History is CALLING. Do you believe this class can do what Ware and Spears did in 2005?

From nineteen ninety-one to nineteen ninety-four, Harper lined up opposite Michael Irvin and gave defenses absolute nightmares. In the nineteen ninety-two NFC Championship game, he turned a short catch into a seventy-yard gain that set up the go-ahead touchdown. Three rings. Three. And he is still one of the most underrated players in Cowboys history.
He proved you do not need to be the alpha to be unforgettable on a dynasty. The complementary piece can define a championship.

Tyler Smith just got PAID. And every bit of it is earned.
The Cowboys signed their All-Pro left guard to a four-year extension worth up to $96 million with $81.2 million guaranteed, locking him up through the 2030 season. Smith has been one of the best guards in the NFL since the day he stepped on the field, and now he's the highest-paid guard in franchise history. With Dak chasing 5,000 yards in 2026 and this offense returning 10 of 11 starters, having Tyler Smith anchoring that line is not a luxury. It's a NECESSITY. Name one guard in the NFC East you'd take over him right now. I'll wait.
