Handsome Eleven again! Just getting in shape and enjoying life. Normally pictures taken while lunging horses are unflattering or hilarious, but this one where he’s stepping into the sunshine was pretty lovely with his summer roan coloring.

Eleven is never more elegant than when he is pining towards Russet, whom he loves. Russet is forever stoic in the face of adoration.

Sweet yellow barn peeking over the hilltop! I haven’t spent much time outside this week because of the wildfire smoke, but perversely the atmospheric glow makes me want to take pictures. And it’s been too long since I’ve shared regularly on here! Most of my pony time has been with the kiddos along and not only does that keep my hands full, I’m trying to keep their faces mostly off social media. The content-snarfing AI race has me extra cautious about what goes up these days! I miss sharing though, and will try to do so more often again. All the horses and ponies are well and happy ❤️

It’s a dreamy, soft-focus kind of summer day at Lune Hollow.

I’m trying to let the native little bluestem, goldenrod, aster, and milkweed take over this meadow space and spent my lunch break snipping down multiflora rose and other invasive plants. Really, I ought to bring the goats out!

These wonderful fey creatures are such a delightful addition to the farm, and we hope they will help us manage the invasives and unmowable brush in the paddock as well.

A single illuminated hillside on an otherwise mist-shrouded day. Winter light in the hollow is a magical thing.

Well, our trailer is snowed in so we missed the BRLA Tinsel Trot, but the ponies were very festive in our first snowfall just the same!! Here is Queen Cupcake showing off her beautiful blue eye.
