“I sought comfort in action.”

Ooooooo boy - when Kristin said that it hit home. Her story is inspiring…

She got fired at 10 AM. By 2 PM, she had landed her first consulting client. There was no perfect plan or polished offer waiting for her. She simply started moving, taking imperfect steps, and figuring out what came next as she went.

That moment became the beginning of books, a business, hundreds of thousands in revenue, and an entirely different chapter of her life.

Sometimes the next chapter starts with one decision: As Kristin says, you just say yes and figure it out.

What’s your take on this? Are you someone who finds comfort in action? Drop your thoughts below. 👇🏽

Sometimes the biggest breakthrough starts with an ending.

What do you do when the career you spent 20 years building disappears in a 10-minute Zoom call?

In this episode of EPIPHANIES, Anna sits down with bestselling author, sales strategist, and entrepreneur **Kristin Gutierrez** to talk about identity, burnout, mentorship, taking imperfect action, and learning to move when life suddenly changes the plan.

At 10 AM, Kristin lost her six-figure corporate job. By 2 PM, she had landed her first consulting client. She had no perfect plan for what came next. She started moving.

Her philosophy?

Say yes and figure it out.

And that philosophy has carried her through entrepreneurship, financial pressure, reinvention, motherhood, building businesses, and realizing that sometimes burnout follows you even after you leave the job that burned you out.

As Kristin says:

“My handcuffs were off, but I stayed shackled to my own desk by my own will.”

This conversation is about what becomes possible when you stop waiting to feel completely ready, surround yourself with people who will call you forward, and take the next step you can see.

Because sometimes the ending really is the beginning.

Some days, you just need to hear that you’re doing a good job. You need someone who knows you, loves you, and understands what you’ve been carrying to say, “I’m proud of you.”

I’ve felt that deeply, especially after losing my mom and walking through seasons of transition without that person beside me to give me the reassurance I needed. There have been times when I’ve prayed, “God, can you send someone this week to remind me that I’m seen, loved, and valued?”

And somehow, He always comes through. A random text from a friend. Someone saying they were thinking of me. A message telling me how proud they are of me, arriving at the exact moment my heart needed to hear it.

It’s taught me to be specific about what I need and brave enough to ask God for it. We all need affirmation sometimes. We all need to know that someone sees how hard we’re trying.

And it’s taught me to pay attention when someone suddenly comes to mind. Send the text. Make the call. Tell them you’re proud of them. That small moment of encouragement might be the exact answer to a prayer they’ve been quietly praying.

So if you needed to hear it today: I’m proud of you. You’re doing a good job. Keep going. ❤️

At the beginning, it sounded like, “I’m not really sure how this is all going to come together.”

Then 72 hours later, it became, “I did it. I actually did it. This is possible.”

That’s the shift Podcast in 72 Hours™ is really about.

You build your podcast, bring your idea to life, and prove to yourself that the thing you’ve been thinking about for months is something you can actually do.

There’s something powerful about finishing the thing you kept telling yourself you’d start someday. Sometimes one completed project changes the way you see yourself and what you believe you’re capable of next.

We’re now accepting participants for our September Podcast in 72 Hours™ cohort, and we’d love to have you in the room.

If you’ve been waiting for the right push to finally start your podcast, this could be your moment.

Comment PODCAST and we’ll send you the details.

If you’re dreaming about starting a podcast, start by practicing. Just you and a voice memo.

I remember the first time I did this on a road trip with my bestie. She pulled out mics and said “it’s time!”. I had already been talking about the podcast for years, and she loved me enough to hold me accountable. We recorded 3 episodes… and they never saw the light of day. 😂

I needed a bigger “why” than just putting my voice out in the world. Once I had that, I launched within 24 hours. A podcast is not just a hobby. It can become your content engine, authority builder, relationship builder, and marketing platform all at once.

Stop waiting to feel ready. Start recording.

That is exactly what we believe at EPIPHANIES™ and inside Podcast in 72 Hours™.

Joy can be your operating system.

What happens when life changes everything and you have to decide who you’re going to become next?

In this powerful episode of EPIPHANIES, Anna sits down with Donnalynn Riley to talk about grief, identity, resilience, leadership, and intentionally choosing joy through life’s hardest seasons.
After losing her husband, home, and career within months, Donnalynn had to rebuild from the ground up. Her epiphany?

“I can choose joy anytime I want it.”

And if you love the way Donnalynn thinks about leadership, identity, and creating a life that actually works, keep an eye out for her upcoming book, Lead the Vision, Lose the Grind.

This conversation is a reminder that joy and grief can exist at the same time, and that an ending can also be the beginning of who you are becoming.
