JR Maya Virata earned entry into the NJSIAA Individual State Meet (MOC) which was held on Nov. 8th. While she did not place in any of the events, she competed well and gained valuable experience for the future.

FYI: The CHS Gymnastics Record at 50 years is -
350 wins - 189 loss - 2 ties !!

The team placed 7th in their section. We went into the meet with 4 healthy gymnasts and, unfortunately, one of them was injured on the second pass of FX, our first event. The team competed with 3 gymnasts for the remainder of the meet.

The CHS Gymnastics team has qualified for the State Sectional A hosted by Manalapan High School.
The NJSIAA has changed the procedure for qualifying into the state sectional utilizing a 'power point' system. Each team submits their 3 highest team scores and they are ranked accordingly.
There are 8 teams in 4 sections identified as Section A, B, C and D.
Cranford is ranked 25th in the state.
Teams in our section are: #1 Mount Olive, #8 Ramapo, #9 Brick, Ridge, Summit, Manalapan, and Ridgewood.
The meet is November 1st starting at 11 AM. The format is warm-up then compete.
