Today, on National Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day, we want to personally recognize our Golf Course Superintendent at Corning Country Club, John Hoyle. John’s commitment to Corning Country Club, our golf course, and our membership is evident every day. The early mornings, long hours, unpredictable weather, tournaments, projects, and constant attention to detail often happen behind the scenes, but the results are seen and appreciated by all of us. This year, we were especially proud to complete our new Short Game Area, another step forward for our golf experience and the continued improvement of our Club. John’s leadership and dedication played an important role in making it a reality. Thank you, John, and thank you to the entire Golf Course Maintenance team for the pride you take in Corning Country Club every single day. We appreciate you! ⛳

Congratulations to our Senior Ladies team of 8 that competed last week at Dutch Hollow GC in Auburn. The team claimed a “clean sweep” of both the Team Championship and the Medalist honors.
The team score of 329 was filed by Jeanne Cavuoti, Staci Covey, Sarah Creath and Lisa Crouch. Jeanne’s score of 77 won her medalist honors and was her second time medaling since 2023!

The individual winners were:
Jeannie Cavuoti, Tournament Medalist with a gross score of 77
Sarah Creath, First flight, 2nd low net with a score of 73
Staci Covey, Second flight, 1st low net with a score of 73
Mary O’Malley Trumbull, Fourth flight, 4th low net with a score of 76
