Meet JAMAAL BROWN (Tennis 🎾)

During his high school years, he was ranked as high as #5 in the state of Tennessee, won the TSSAA District City Championship as a junior, and represented the state at the Southern Regional Championships for two consecutive years.

His competitive career includes four junior and three adult tournament titles, along with a notable victory over a nationally ranked player in his first collegiate match. As Tennessee State University’s #1 tennis player and MVP for three years, Jamaal was instrumental in leading the team to its first Conference Tournament.

In addition to his playing career, Jamaal has a solid background in coaching and mentorship. He served as TSU men’s assistant tennis coach from 2005-2007 and was a certified USTA teacher for 5 years. Please WELCOME him to the Pack!

7/8th Head Coach & 5/6th Assistant Coach

I played volleyball for 9 years, both school teams and competitive. I’m active in the adult leagues around Memphis to continue my love for the sport!
This will be my 3rd year coaching. I’ve coached at SFA, St.Marys, and now Memphis Metro Volleyball.
I have so much love and respect for volleyball and I pass that onto all my players.

I’m so excited to watch these athletes grow, work as a team and develop new skills this season!

I have been around a volleyball court since I was 10 years old, playing competitively all the way through high school as a setter and right-side hitter before making the jump to coaching in 2019. I’ve spent my career developing young athletes at Holy Rosary, Grace-St. Luke’s, and Lakeland Preparatory. I have also coached at Memphis Juniors for the past 4 years, but will be taking time off to help develop the volleyball program here at SFA.

What I love most about volleyball is the teamwork, energy, and seeing players grow in confidence.

I played volleyball for 8 years and continue to play in adult leagues today. I’m excited to be part of this team and can’t wait to see our athletes improve, have fun, build confidence, and grow throughout the season.

If you’re entering 5th–8th Grade and looking for a place to compete, grow, and develop as a student-athlete, we want to see you on the field.

📍 Location: 8250 Varnavas Drive, Cordova, TN 38016

✅ Players from Cordova and surrounding areas are welcome.
