HIRA Friendly Ride Recap – Sunday, May 31 🚴‍♀️

What an incredible day on the T.J. Evans Trail!

On Sunday, May 31, riders of all ages came together for another successful HIRA Friendly Ride. From our youngest rider at just 6 years old to our most experienced rider at 63, the event showcased what HIRA is all about—bringing people together, staying active, and creating lasting memories through cycling.

It was inspiring to see experienced cyclists encouraging beginners, families riding together, and new friendships forming along the trail. Whether participants completed the entire route or rode a portion of it, every rider was part of something special.

A special thank you to Ved Pyakurel for helping coordinate the ride, and to Roshan Human, Upashana Adhikari, and the Columbus Moms Soccer team for their hospitality and support. Thanks to our volunteers, coordinators, and community supporters, we welcomed nearly 30 riders for this amazing adventure. We truly appreciate everyone who helped make this event a success!

At HIRA, we believe cycling is for everyone, regardless of age, experience, or fitness level. Events like these remind us that a simple bike ride can bring people together, build friendships, and inspire healthier, more active lives.

Congratulations to Team North Carolina!
What a proud moment for the Nepali Pickleball community! This past weekend, North Carolina successfully hosted a memorable Nepali-Pickleball Tournament, showcasing high-quality play, energy, and camaraderie that left everyone inspired.

We witnessed outstanding pickleball from dedicated athletes who traveled from California, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Your passion, sportsmanship, and commitment to the game truly embody what makes pickleball such a special sport. You are not just players — you are ambassadors inspiring others to pick up a paddle and join this growing community.

Heartfelt congratulations to all the deserving winners for your outstanding performances!
While we celebrate this success, there is still important work ahead. Let us continue working together to elevate Nepali Pickleball to a professional level, build stronger infrastructure, and create pathways for young and new talent to shine on bigger stages.

The future looks bright. Let’s carry this momentum forward and get ready to showcase even greater talent, skill, and unity at the upcoming tournament in Ohio this July.

HIRA would like to thank everyone who joined us for our Fun Ride! What started as a relaxed and informal community ride turned into an amazing experience filled with great energy, new friendships, and unforgettable memories. It was incredible seeing riders of all levels come together to enjoy the ride and support one another throughout the journey.

One of the best parts of the day was watching experienced riders encourage beginners and seeing the cycling community grow stronger together. Events like this remind us that cycling is not just about the destination — it’s about community, connection, and inspiring healthier lifestyles together.
