Glad to make it home just in time to enjoy my first Father’s Day.

Last 2 months were spent at Officer Training School, after 13 years enlisted I’m now fully into the officer life. Honestly very excited for this new role and what’s to come of it. Made some great friends and met many others I hope to see again along the way.

For now I’m excited to be back into routine life with the lil man and everyone.

Lastly huge shoutout to my wife for holding the house down and handling our 11 week old by herself while I was gone ❤️ Monica Flint

13 years complete 🇺🇸

This upcoming year will be commissioning to the officer side as well so it’s a clean cap on my time enlisted, for those that know.

I remember enlisting when I was 17, very different choice than everyone else at my high school.

I remember not wanting to make it a career when I was 2 years in and that’s why I joined the guard.

In those 13 years I’ve competed 9 years of active duty time as it is my career now. Crazy to see the progress. Cheers to everyone that has been a part of the journey and I’m excited to see how this second half goes 🫡

The least talked about way to achieve the shredded look you’re going for is combining protein and fiber in your meals.

Every other supplement is thrown out, getting your protein goal is heavily covered, your workout routines, etc. but not this combination in your meals. Why?

Even if your goal isn’t to be shredded, this combination generally means that you have better food sources and a good balance on your plate.

What does it do?

It slows digestion, makes you feel fuller longer, gives you long lasting energy with no crashes in amounts that help recover, and more!

Don’t fight energy crashes, hunger or eating bad food sources that don’t fuel your goals.

Even when bulking this keeps fat off, and your blood work and gut healthy. Need more reasons then comment below.

Managing your workout intensity 💪

Not every session should leave your tank empty and sore for days. Specifically if:

- You workout 3 or more times a week
- Weight train and cardio
- Are new to lifting or advanced
- Need to perform at work

So how do you hit the sweet spot where you do enough to make progress but not leave you useless the next day?

Have a program and muscle splits so you are training for your goal. A plan will make sure the volume is split up and around.

If you’re mentally or physically exhausted from a long shift/ etc - pick either to do less weight or less reps. Treat it like a deload day and go hit the muscles just enough to stay on track and kill your next workout.

If every workout is intense then fatigue sets in and injuries happen or you get unmotivated and stop showing up.

Vary your approach, take your time and you’ll hit the results you want still while enjoying your life outside the gym!

Hard to dwindle down the highlights of 2025 😎

It was a great year personally, professionally and set us up well for the future. Some major events:

- New home
- New military careers for both of us
- Many new clients and friends on here
- Baby coming in 2026

All sets up this next year for even more highs.

Being a father, personal fitness, house updates, military commission and helping more groups and individuals in their health are top priorities.

Enjoy the night, and set goals for 2026 and hit it running tomorrow.

Do you still make New Year’s resolutions?

Have you stopped ❌ because you never followed through with them?

It’s time to be SMARTer with your goals and actually achieve them in 2026.

First you can help yourself out by following me for better fitness and health habits.

Smart goals are:

Specific - focus on your number 1 goal
Measurable - numbers you can keep track of
Attainable - better to hit and make a new goal
Relevant - your goal and process have to match
Time bound/frame - keeps you from putting it off

By making SMART goals it’s easier to stay accountable, have something to work towards and real numbers to keep track of your progress.

Especially for my military fam fitness is becoming a bigger part of the culture and you don’t need it to be an extra stressor in your life.

Not sure how to make your goals smart or even where you should begin?

Comment TOM and I’ll reach out and help you get started in the right direction 🫡
