Today is the day! Fundraiser for Eric Emds and his family, a member of our Columbia Softball community! Come out get some swings for Free to help raise money for their family! We ask for a donation that fully goes to Eric and his family as a loving gesture as they are going through this hard time! Softball and baseball pitching available! Pretty cool history here in Columbia with Baseball and Softball!

On this day in 1884, Columbia’s baseball team announces a five-game series with the Dauntless Club of Mt. Joy. Two games each will be played in Mt. Joy and on the Stove Works grounds in Columbia, with a fifth scheduled for Lancaster. The two teams are part of a three-way rivalry that includes the Lancaster Ironsides, whose lineup features Jake Goodman, one of the great sluggers of early baseball.

We are both excited to announce and looking forward to our partnership with The Bat Cave in Columbia, PA!

Not only is this a top-notch facility with every training option you can think of, but the owners and instructors have a huge heart for developing youth athletes!

This is so much more than a batting cage - it's a place to truly grow in both physical and mental conditioning, building character and the love of the game simultaneously.

Not just for this season. Not just because it is something we should do. But, because we want to set these kids up for now and future success in baseball and in life.

The first week of practice for this team is officially in the books! Honestly, it’s hard to put into words what it means to see something you dreamed about actually come to life.

A brand-new team. A blank slate. A group of kids and families who believed enough to show up and see what we could build together.

And they showed up....in big ways! 🙌

The kids worked hard, encouraged each other, and showed SO much potential. There is still plenty to learn and plenty of work ahead, but the talent, heart, and attitude we saw this week gave us a glimpse of what this team can become.

And to the parents—thank you! Thank you for trusting us with your kids, supporting them, and believing in this dream too.

This is only Week 1.

We’re not just building a baseball team. We’re building a family, developing young men, and creating something these boys can be proud to be part of for the long haul.

The dream is no longer just a dream. It’s officially underway. ⚾🔥
