Well, we’ve had a lot going on in our personal lives over the past several months, but during that time, we found a little extra time to build a new race car.

We decided to debut it at Lyle’s race because of how important Lyle is to our family and how much this race means to us. But this car was about so much more than just a new build, it was a tribute to our dear friend, Dick.

The number on the car represents a championship Dick won in 2002 with driver Craig Criscone. We wanted to take a little bit of the old and blend it with a new flare, creating something that honored the past while bringing it into the present.

DH Graphx did an incredible job bringing our vision to life. He incorporated several memories and photos of us with Dick into the background of the wrap, making this car incredibly personal and meaningful.

Every detail has a story, and having the opportunity to debut this car at Lyle’s race made it that much more special. We know Dick would have loved it.

A solid 6th place finish after spending most of the race in the top 5 was a great way to shake down this car for the end of the year racing.

One of my biggest supporters and someone who's always believed in me. I'm thankful for all the memories we've made, conversations we had, the passions we've shared, and the example he sets when it comes to family. I truly couldn't have asked for a better father-in-law.

This is a tough one. Our leader, mentor, Poppy, and family friend Dick Hicks has passed away. Last night, we ended the evening as we always did, with a "See you boys tomorrow." We consistently thanked him, and he would always respond with "No, thank you." Who would have thought you could have such a strong connection with someone three times your age, but if you knew Dick, you knew that age was just a number. He spent his life outworking those around him and instilled those values in us. He was always present during every significant life event, change, or when guidance was needed. He always knew the right things to say and how to make you feel capable of achieving anything. He loved racing, which was a huge part of his life. He did what ever he could to help the little guy get to the track and race. He was successful in racing and in life. For us, it was just a short drive down the street, and we were in our happy place playing with racecars. He was the best story teller and could make you laugh so hard you were crying. I know today he would tell us to get up and keep going but this one knocked us down pretty bad. You treated us as if we were your own and made sure to tell everyone we were your boys.
