SYBL - Shaker Youth Baseball League

Tonight was the First Night of our SYBL Fall Sandlot Series! ⚾️🍂

3 Fields, 50+ kids, & 75 minutes of fast-paced Coach Pitch pick-up games packed with action from start to finish!

Players got plenty of opportunities to:
⚾️ Put the ball in play
🧤 Get valuable defensive reps
🔥 Take lots of at-bats
🧠 Work through different game situations

A great Friday night of baseball, development, competition, and FUN! 5 more to go - we’re excited to keep the momentum going!

A beautiful day for the AA All-Star Game! ⚾️☀️ The American League All-Stars (Mudhens, Drillers, River Bandits, and Marauders) beat the National League All-Stars (Trash Pandas, Blue Rocks, Railriders, and Tin Caps) by a score of 9-4. Thanks to SHHS’ coaches Stefan English, head varsity baseball coach, and Andre Griffin (SHHS CO 1997), head varsity football coach, for throwing out the ceremonial first pitches of the game. Appreciate the Shaker Heights community for coming out and supporting these all-star athletes! ⭐️

Playoffs are a Whole New Season!!!

For those who might be interested, the Shaker Varsity baseball team beat Lakewood (who was 27-0 ) today in the Regional semifinal game
4-2 to go to the Regional championship game at Gilmore Academy. (Off SOM Center Rd.)
The Regional Final game is at 2 pm tomorrow afternoon (original time was 5 pm but changed to 2 due to Shakers Graduation tomorrow night. GO SHAKER!!!

Shaker Youth Baseball League sends its CONGRATS TO THE “RED HOT”SHAKER RED RAIDERS Baseball Team.
They beat the Normandy Raiders 5-3 to advance to the Division 2 Regional Semifinal game at Gilmore H.S. next Wednesday, June 3rd. against the winner of Lakewood vs. Wadsworth.
Our Red Raiders won the game with solid pitching, good defense and timely hitting!!!!

SYBL players and coaches were grateful for the opportunity to join the Shaker Heights community at this year’s Memorial Day Parade.
As we marched together, we paused to remember and honor the U.S. military personnel who gave their lives while serving in the Armed Forces. We are thankful to be part of a community that comes together in remembrance, gratitude, and service. 🇺🇸⚾
