We have had a wonderful 3 year run as an organization, but our time has come to say goodbye. Due to the ever-changing world, and increasing need for meaningful organizations to do amazing things for their communities, grant funding has become more competitive than it already was. Community members are also stretched thin financially, with increased requests from worthwhile organizations. In addition, taking into account the personal and professional lives of myself and the board, we have come to the decision to dissolve the organization. We achieved some great things in our time, increasing accessibility to yoga’s tools for mental wellness by guiding the practice of yoga, breath, and relaxation techniques for teens, to people receiving services through community outreach and mental health organizations, and to the special needs community and beyond - providing respite classes and retreats to the parents and caregivers. Some new yogis and new friends have formed through our classes, deepening that sense of community, and for that we couldn’t be more proud. We are ending on a happy note though! We still had some funds in our account that we have sent forward to be carried through in similar missions! Our final funds have been donated to Cultivate Yoga , a nonprofit studio that offers donation-based yoga to all, and Zenworks Yoga , with outreach to schools. Through them, our last seeds will continue to grow. A huge thank you to all of our past and present board members, supporters, and recurring teachers including Nadeen Al-Jijakli (poeticbeatsyoga.com, Poetic Beats Yoga/IG ), Kristen Dipert (at Cultivate Yoga, radiantrootscle.com, IG .dipert ), and Rylie Boodjeh (thespiritteacher.com, IG ), among many others. You can still find me teaching in studios and around town as well, at Cultivate Yoga and Avon Lake Yoga, and at the beach with radiantrootscle.com (Casey Martin Yoga or IG ).
