One of the things I talk about often is inflammation.

Many people are dealing with joint pain, brain fog, low energy, stubborn weight gain, and other health challenges without realizing that chronic inflammation may be part of the picture.

While food should always come first, omega-3 fatty acids are one of the supplements I frequently recommend because they support a healthy inflammatory response, along with heart and brain health.

Unfortunately, most people consume plenty of omega-6 fats from processed foods and very little omega-3 from fatty fish like salmon, sardines, and mackerel. That's where supplementation may be helpful.

One thing to keep in mind is that not all fish oil supplements are created equal.

Quality, purity, and the amount of EPA and DHA are important.

If you're looking for a high-quality omega-3 supplement, I've included some of my trusted recommendations inside my Fullscript dispensary.

Growing up, I truly believed we were eating healthy.

My parents bought the low-fat products. We chose foods labeled "heart healthy." We honestly believed we were making the best choices for our family.

But despite doing what we thought was right, both of my parents struggled with obesity and chronic health challenges for years.

My dad dealt with back pain, knee pain, shortness of breath, sleep apnea, type 2 diabetes, and hypoglycemia.

My mom lived with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, and what she describes as a lifelong addiction to sugar.

Looking back, I don't blame them.

They were following the advice so many of us were given.

As I learned more about insulin, processed foods, healthy fats, and metabolic health, everything started to make sense. I realized many of the foods we'd trusted for years weren't helping us build better health.

After watching me lose 120 pounds, my parents decided to give Real Health Resolvers a chance.

My dad started at 76.

He lost 140 pounds and has maintained it. He no longer uses a CPAP, has come off several medications with his doctor's guidance, and is back playing golf, helping with projects around the house, and serving in church leadership.

My mom started at 77.

She lost 77 pounds. With her healthcare provider's guidance, she reversed her type 2 diabetes, came off her blood pressure medication, walks the stairs to her home without stopping, and has the energy to enjoy life with her children and grandchildren.

Together, my parents have lost more than 200 pounds.

But the greatest transformation wasn't the weight.

It was watching our family break a cycle that had lasted for generations.

That's why Real Health Resolvers isn't just about losing weight. It's about understanding your health, building sustainable habits, and creating a healthier future for yourself and your family.

I lost over 100 pounds twice before I finally figured out how to keep it off.

And both times, I gained every single pound back, plus more!

I wish I could tell you that once I lost the weight, everything became easy.

It didn't.

The first time I lost weight, I thought I had it all figured out. Then life got busy. Old habits slowly crept back in. A little here, a little there. Before I knew it, the weight was back.

Then I did it again.

Lost the weight.

Felt amazing.

Thought this time would be different.

And once again, I gained it back.

That was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life because I knew how to lose weight. What I didn't know was how to maintain it.

Today, I've maintained a 120-pound weight loss for more than 6 years.

Not because I'm perfect or never get tempted.

I've simply learned that losing weight and maintaining weight loss are two very different skills.

That's exactly why I created my Temptation Series.

Because long-term success isn't built on motivation. It's built on having a plan for the moments when life happens, stress happens, vacations happen, and temptation shows up.

What's harder for you right now: losing weight or keeping it off once you've lost it?

When Joy McCoy Monk first joined Real Health Resolvers, she wasn't looking for another diet.
She was looking for something she could actually live with.

Like so many people, she had tried different approaches before. She could lose weight, but keeping it off was always the challenge. She wanted a plan that felt simple, sustainable, and realistic for everyday life.

Within about seven months, Joy had lost her first 60 pounds.

She wasn't guessing what to eat anymore. She had a clear plan, support from a community that understood her journey, and habits she could stick with even when life got busy.

Today, Joy has lost more than 100 pounds and reached her goal weight.

But what makes her story so inspiring isn't just the number on the scale.

She no longer struggles with acid reflux, debilitating arthritis pain, or chronic inflammation. She sleeps better, has more energy, and feels healthier than she has in years.

Perhaps my favorite part of Joy's story is what happened after the weight loss.
She didn't just reach her goal.

She learned how to maintain it.

Today, Joy serves as one of our Real Health Resolvers Ambassadors, encouraging others who are standing exactly where she once stood and reminding them that lasting weight loss is possible.

As Joy says,

"Not only did I lose over 100 pounds, but I gained the confidence that comes from knowing I can maintain it. Real Health Resolvers gave me the support, structure, and community I needed to change my life."

If you're ready for a healthier lifestyle that you can actually maintain, comment RHR below and I'd love to share more with you.

I stopped chasing weight loss and started paying attention to my health.

I still remember the drive home after being diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease, and I felt defeated.

At that point, I had already tried so many different diets. Every time one didn't work, I was buying myself more time until the next Monday.

Then I was told I had an autoimmune disease. As my husband drove us home, all I could think about were my kids and how my diagnosis would affect them and my entire family.

My doctor just told me that I would spend the rest of my life fighting my body. This diagnosis forced me to stop looking only at the scale and start paying attention to my health.

Instead of asking, "How do I lose weight?" I started asking, "How can I support my body better?"

I started questioning every life decision I ever made, and they were all circling back to the food, countless diets and weight loss plans I was desperately trying. That’s what motivated me to start learning, just like a high school student.

As I learned more about insulin, inflammation, food choices, and meal timing, I desperately started implementing everything I was learning and surprisingly my body slowly started responding in ways it never had before.

I lost 120 pounds in one year and have maintained that weight loss for over six years.

But what means even more to me is that my energy returned, my pain and inflammation diminished, my thyroglobulin antibodies came down into a normal range, and I finally found freedom around food.

That is why Real Health Resolvers focuses on health first. Because sometimes the scale is showing you a symptom, not the root problem.
