The Central Cavaliers are proud to welcome Mar’Quan Harris to the Cavs family!

At 6’0”, 185 lbs, Mar’Quan joins our quarterback room bringing athleticism, confidence and a leadership mentality. The quarterback position is about more than throwing the football , it’s about communication, accountability, decision-making and earning the trust of the guys around you. Those are qualities we want throughout this organization.

What makes this addition even better is that Mar’Quan is buying into the Cavaliers vision on and off the field.

Along with joining us as a player, his barbershop will be partnering with the Central Cavaliers as our Official Barbershop Partner. 💈⚔️

That’s what we mean when we talk about building something bigger than football. We want our players, coaches, local businesses and community growing together and supporting one another.

The Central Cavaliers are proud to officially welcome Tavares Tripp as our Linebackers Coach! 🏈

Coach Tripp brings football experience, leadership and an entrepreneurial mindset to the Cavs. After a strong high school football career, he now has the opportunity to take what he learned on the field and pour it into the next group of athletes.

As our Linebackers Coach, Tavares will help develop a unit built around toughness, discipline, communication and accountability. We want linebackers who play fast, play physical and understand their responsibility to the entire defense.

What Coach Tripp brings goes beyond football as well. His entrepreneurial mentality and leadership fit the culture we're building developing men who understand that the lessons learned through football can carry into business, family and everyday life.

Another leader added to the staff. Another piece of the foundation in place.

Some signings add another player to the roster. This one adds another chapter to a family story.

The Central Cavaliers are proud to welcome Martin Hernandez #55 to the Cavs family!

Martin brings high school football experience and the versatility to contribute at LB, OL and DL. His physical style of play and ability to work on both sides of the line gives our coaching staff another valuable piece as we continue building this team.

But what makes this signing even more special is that Martin will have the opportunity to take the field alongside his father. 🏈

Football has a way of bringing people together, and moments like this are exactly why our motto means so much to us. A father and son getting another opportunity to compete, represent the same colors and create memories together is bigger than any stat on a scoreboard.

For the Hernandez family, this isn't just another season.

The Central Cavaliers are adding some serious size and versatility to the roster.

Welcome Michael Galarza to the Cavs family! Standing at 6’3”, 330 lbs, Micheal gives us a powerful presence who can contribute at TE, OL and DL. His ability to line up on either side of the football gives our coaching staff another versatile piece as we continue building this roster for the 2027 season.

At his size, Micheal brings exactly what you want in the trenches: strength, physicality and the ability to move people. Whether he’s helping protect the offense, contributing as a blocking tight end or lining up defensively, he gives Central options.

Off the field, Micheal is also bringing something to the organization. Through Dark Sentinel Security Group , he’ll be partnering with the Cavs to assist with security at team and community events , another way one of our players is buying into what we’re building beyond football.

But first and foremost, he’s here to play ball.

⚔️ WELCOME TO THE LAND: COACH CHRISTIAN DOWDELL ⚔️

The Central Cavaliers are proud to welcome Christian Dowdell as our Offensive Coordinator.

Coach Dowdell brings a background that goes beyond the playbook. A former collegiate track & field athlete at College of the Siskiyous, he was a 2x Golden Valley Conference qualifier in the 100m and Triple Jump and has continued developing athletes through coaching and personal training.

His experience includes serving as Offensive Coordinator for the Largo Jr. Packers and Sprint & Jump Coach for Largo Elite Track & Field, specializing in speed development, sprint mechanics, jump technique and overall athletic performance.

That background fits exactly what we want our offense to become: fast, disciplined, explosive and fundamentally sound.

We’re building a staff that can do more than call plays. We want coaches who can develop the athlete behind the helmet.

Welcome Benji Jones to the Cavs family! At 5’9”, 200 lbs, Benji brings experience at both LB and DE, along with previous EAFL experience with the Tarpon Pirates and high school football experience.

He brings another physical presence to a defense we’re building to play fast, disciplined and together. Benji already knows the EAFL landscape, and now he’s ready to bring that experience to Central.

Welcome Tony Colon to the Cavs family! Tony comes to Central with EAFL experience, previously competing with the Dunedin Highlanders. He brings experience at DE, DT and Special Teams, giving our coaching staff another versatile piece who already understands the level of competition in this league.
