Our 2034 young CANES are learning the right way and gaining confidence in their individual strength!
After an intense, physical practice preparing for Nationals, there was no jumping, only landing.
Teaching them to decelerate as quickly as possible at this age sets them up to have a higher potential to become very dynamic athletes!

The CLEAN is near and dear to our development!
When we have smaller group, it allows us to implement its teachings so when our new athletes train with our veterans, there is more coaching and less teaching.
These young men catch on quickly! Just watch their progression over the coming months with this complex movement!
Our tall hurdle hops have been a staple of this summer's program.
We love these because it forces the athletes to produce max vertical force production, while increasing the rate of force development (RFD), and enhance tendon stiffness.
The heights have gone up every week so we shift the exercise focus toward producing maximum explosive power and rapid concentric acceleration.
The depth drop pause is very difficult to perform, but we embrace challenges!
Legend is over 29", while Dylan and Jamor clear 36" with room to go!
Hands are good, feet are better!
Athletes love challenges. With Nationals in a week, DH2031 have one thought, push through the finish of THIS season as it will catapult us forward!
We are a long-term developmental program. The quality of reps, style of training, add up over time. We want addition, not subtraction.
As our newest athletes continue to learn the way we train, we train the lower-body athletic essentials:
Single-leg stability, dynamic core, posterior chain, plyometrics in all three phases eccentric, isometric, and concentric).
This lays the foundation for when they learn the complex movements that you see our more developed athletes perform, the cleans, etc.
If there is one thing we know, we know that high-level coaches LOVE skilled athletes! It is our mission to give our athletes tools to have confidence in every element of their development.
Training rate of force development improves the ability of your muscles to contract and produce force in a split second.
We teach to apply, AND absord force so the nervous system can tolerate internal and external (contact) forces against the body.
We want stable joints and balance recovery for durable and consistent performers!

DH2034 and 2035 came together for our largest session to date! We are humbled by the parents who believe in our purpose to create great habits as they develop as athletes.
There are varying training skill levels in this group. The most important thing is they came to get better and had fun!
Our teaching methods for the Olympic lifts are taught so the athlete understands how to apply and absorb force properly.
Our athletes progress when they are ready! They are all different. No matter what, we want them to feel confident!
So proud of you Jayce!
