This year has stretched me in ways I never expected. Caring for my partner, showing up for my clients, still finding moments for joy and connection. Some days feel like starting over completely.

But this is not the first time I have had to reinvent myself. Back in 2017, I picked up a paddle when almost no one in St. Louis had even heard the word Pickleball. There was no roadmap, no crowd, no proven path. I just went all in. I played every chance I got, chased certifications, and eventually became a coach through Pickleball Let's Go!™, teaching the sport I fell in love with to anyone willing to learn.

It showed me something about myself. I am always willing to try something new, no matter my age or what anyone else thinks. That spirit was passed down to me from my aunt Joie, who lived to 99 and never stopped being curious about life. She taught me that reinvention is not reserved for the young. It is a choice you get to make at any stage.

That is the thing about restarting. You do not need permission and you do not need the world to already believe in what you are building. You just need to begin.

I used to think restarting meant failing. Now I know it means I am still in the game. Still showing up. Still choosing to keep going, whether that is on the court, in my business, or in caring for the people I love.

32 years in real estate. Years spent building a sport I believe in from the ground up. A lifetime of loving fiercely. And still, every single day, a work in progress. And I would not have it any other way.
