The outcome wasn’t what we wanted, but it does not take away from what this team accomplished this season.
The Cavalry finish the year with a 9–3 league record and 9–4 overall record, bringing home another South Division Championship and winning the annual Bluegrass Brawl Traveling Trophy.
Thank you to every player who committed to this team and stuck with us all the way through. Your dedication, sacrifice, and effort made this season possible.
A special thank you to Head Coach Greg Taylor and Coach Greg Ellis for leading us through a memorable season. Under their leadership, the Cavalry offense made team history:

🐎 72 points in a single game β€” a new team record
🐎 338 total offensive points
🐎 33.8 points per game β€” the highest average in team history

And the defense continued to uphold the standard that has defined Cavalry football, allowing just 214 points, an average of 21.4 points per game.

Thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes throughout the season. And most importantly, thank you to our Cavalry fans. You made every home game loud, traveled with us on the road, and continued to support this team every step of the way.
Our season on the field may be finished, but we still have some things in motion.
There is still a very real possibility that some more hardware could be coming back to the Kentuckiana area. πŸ‘€πŸ†

Thank you for riding with us all season.

Cuyahoga Falls Rapids vs. Cleveland Cobras

PAFL 2A Championship

This game is almost impossible to call.

The Cuyahoga Falls Rapids and Cleveland Cobras meet with the PAFL 2A Championship on the line, and there may not be two hotter teams heading into this matchup.

From the beginning of the season, I've said the Rapids were a team to watch. From their operations and recruiting to their social media presence, Cuyahoga Falls has built a program that looks like it's here to stay.

And they've backed up the hype.

The Rapids are undefeated and have found ways to win in just about every situation they've faced. Their explosive offense and hard-nosed defense have carried them through a phenomenal season.

Now they have the opportunity to finish the job and become undefeated 2A champions.

Standing in their way is a Cleveland Cobras team that has found its stride at exactly the right time.

For most of the year, the Cobras' defense was the story. But over the last three or four games, the offense has finally started putting everything together. That's a terrifying development for the rest of the league.

Cleveland has tasted defeat this season, falling to the Erie Express early and losing a nail-biter to the Columbus Fire. But now the Cobras have a chance to hand the Rapids something they've avoided all season:

A loss.

Usually, looking at mutual opponents would make this matchup easier to predict.

Not this time.

Both teams have beaten the PFA 2A champion Flag City Phantoms, with the Rapids doing so slightly more convincingly. Cleveland lost to the Columbus Fire by a field goal, while Cuyahoga Falls eventually defeated the Fire in overtime.

On paper, the numbers don't give us a clear answer.

That's what makes this one so good.

I think, for the first time all year, the Rapids are going to find themselves trailing at some point in the game.

That's where this championship will be decided.

If Cuyahoga Falls keeps its composure, plays consistent football, and doesn't panic when things aren't going its way, they absolutely have a shot to finish this perfect season.

But if the pressure starts getting to them?

They'll find themselves trapped in the snake pit.

I think the Cobras' defense and surging offense will be just enough to end the Rapids' perfect run.

Prediction

Cuyahoga Falls Rapids 14
Cleveland Cobras 18
