Thank you so much for your service these past few days! We appreciate everyone's hard work and efforts keeping our community roads safe. The best of the best!!
Your Support & Patience Is Appreciated!
Anderson Township’s one, and only, 10-member Public Works team has been working tirelessly since 6pm, Saturday, Jan 24, to combat this winter storm. The cleanup will take time, and we appreciate the understanding of our residents and businesses.
We can use your help, especially with bitter cold temperatures on the way:
- Remove any remaining parked cars from the roadway, which expedites the safety and timeliness of snow removal
- Avoid blowing, pushing, or shoveling snow into the street, which can refreeze and create a hazard
Anderson Township is home to more than 475 cul-de-sacs on its 123 miles of township-maintained roadways. To clear as much snow quickly as possible and ensure main roadways are passable, hills and curves are our top priority, and cul-de-sacs are passed by. The Township usually does not remove snow from cul-de-sacs until after a storm, which in this case will take several days. Also, especially in cul-de-sacs, there is little area for our team to push snow and to avoid mailboxes, fire hydrants and driveways.
Thanks to public works teams from the Township, Hamilton County Engineer’s Office, and ODOT, which treat the nearly 220 miles of roadways in our community! They, along with the Township’s Fire & Rescue Department, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, and Township staff, are working to keep you safe.
See www.AndersonTownshipOH.gov for more winter information. If you need to contact us directly with a concern or question, we appreciate your kindness and patience as our staff continues to do our best to serve our community.
