Dancing With Chicago Celebrities

We not only celebrated our 20th anniversary of Dancing with Chicago Celebrities this year, but also 20 years of a partnership with Lurie Cancer Center at Northwestern Medicine and 20 years of support, innovation and life-saving work from the incomparable Dr. Leonidas Platanias!

This work, these lives, this fundraising, and all of your efforts to help us get to where we are today are an incredible testament of generosity and love. Thank you all.

Thank you to the The Breakthrough Board at UChicago Medicine for your beautiful, now 10 year, partnership! Our grant to this wonderful women’s board is to fund the innovative look at the connection of gut health to the risk of developing breast cancer.

Our continued and cherished partnership with Dr. Sandy Goldberg and A Silver Lining Foundation has helped SO many receive life saving & life changing mammograms to those who, without her foundation and amazing heart, would otherwise be unable to receive them. 💗 We are honored to share this funding with you and hope to give that same gift to many more deserving women & men for years to come!

On behalf of the DWCC Board, we were grateful to officially place our 2026 fundraising efforts into the capable, innovative & brilliant hands of our beneficiaries last night at a celebration with the Arthur Murray professionals and students. 🙌

Our professional show featured a touching tribute to Katrina Rodriguez Morales, a dearly departed member of our Arthur Murray dance family. 🕊️

She is among the brave and beautiful women whom breast cancer has taken, and she remains a driving force in the hearts of her friend and our board member, Amy, as well as the love of her life, Tavio, who brought us to this moment on the dance floor.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to honor her and all the women we fight for. 💗 Now, the wind beneath our wings…
