⚽️🥇Ballers Players of the Month - June 🥇⚽️

Our final POTM awards of the season. June was a packed month of action at Ballers with futsal and football sessions running at the centres, school clubs, 1-2-1's, and all the Ballers Futsal World Cup tournaments, as well as two age groups competing at Ipswich’s Portman Road stadium football tournament 🏟️❤️⚽️

From our Monday Sandon centre it's congratulations to:

U7-U9 - Reggie
Reggie brings great enthusiasm and a positive attitude to his Ballers sessions. A great finisher, he finds the back of the next regularly in practices and match scenarios. One to watch for the future and I look forward to seeing his progress. Well played Reggie 👏

U10-U12 - Lennie
Lennie completes his second season at Ballers and it’s great to see him enjoying futsal so much and benefiting with his core skills and speed of thought / footwork increasing each month. A lad that always plays well in any match or tournament he is selected for. Keep up the good work Lennie. 👏

U13-U15 - Frankie
Frankie had a nightmare start to the season with injury but finished strongly with solid performances at sessions and it was fantastic to see him back in time for our trip to Norwich’s stadium tournament where he represented Ballers superbly. A really good lad too and a genuine team player. Well played Frankie 👏

U16-U18 - Ollie
Ollie is a U15 who has played up with the older / bigger players all season and has really benefited from that exposure to the quick tempo and power of the opponents each week. He has always been a great finisher and has shown that over many years at Ballers now but he has also developed his link up play this season and taken his game up a significant level. Well played Ollie 👏

From our Tuesday Chelmsford centre it's congratulations to:

U10-U12 - Henry
Henry has been a high achiever this season and becomes the first player to win two POTM awards in the same season from this group. His footwork and skills are impressive and it’s so good to see a player with the confidence to try out skills and moves in match scenarios. Henry has high potential and it obvious to see the benefits futsal has brought to his game. Well played Henry. 👏

U13-U16 - Luca
Luca is a highly technical player who is well suited to futsal with his footwork skills, great touch and wand of a left foot. He creates and scores goals prolifically and has been a high level performer the entire season. A truly consistent player. He combines his ability levels with a competitive nature which drives him forward and is an asset to any team he is in. Well played Luca 👏

From our Thursday Maldon centre it's congratulations to:

U6-U8 - Logan
Logan joined Ballers during the season and has really discovered a love and passion for futsal which has helped him with his football journey too. He has really come out of his shell in the group and that social development is just as rewarding to see as the technical aspect. He performed very well in the U8-U10 Ballers World Cup too and was a key player in his England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 team winning the trophy. I look forward to seeing his continued development on the court next season.. Well played Logan 👏

U9-U12 - Henry
Henry has been a Ballers player for most of his grassroots journey and made the step up this season to the older group where he has really flourished. Henry always brings a smile and laugh to every session and it’s clear how much he loves the sport. He performs well at tournaments too where he recently scored some goals in that competitive environment, demonstrating his excellent finishing ability.

Two classy and creative midfielders in Noah and Leo and a deadly finisher for our strike force in Lucas.

Up the Swifts ⚽️

The curtain comes down on the end of season Ballers Futsal World Cups and it was a top class finale with the U16-U18’s serving up a real treat on court last night 👏⚽️

Congratulations to the Argentina 🇦🇷 team who finished the group stage strongly on 7 points and then got the job done in the final against England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 who also played some great futsal on the night and scored a hatful. Well played too to Spain 🇪🇸 and France 🇫🇷 for playing their part. Spain coming in 3rd in the end.

Well played to the Argentina lads, Will, Frank, Oliver, Mitch, Reggie & Joe for lifting the 🏆
Player of the tournament went to Will who performed to a high level in all four of his matches and created and scored lots of great goals.

There will be lots of highlights coming from this one soon 🍿

Get well soon Rory, who picked up an unfortunate injury, and it was great to see our England U16 Lioness 🦁 YumYum back on the court doing her thing👏 Also great to see a few U15’s handling the experience of playing up with the older players plus Toby, an U14, who also performed to a high level in good company 👏

England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 win the World Cup 🦁🥇🏆

Today saw the Ballers U8-U10 young guns take to the court for their end of season World Cup Futsal tournament with lots of talented young players enjoying the futsal tournament experience. This age group always delivers so much positive energy and good attitudes and today was no exception. End to end games, lots of technical development and learning plus lots of entertainment for players and spectators. Silky touches, great dribbling and superb finishing all caught on camera and highlights will be out soon.
Well played to all the players in the France 🇫🇷 and USA 🇺🇸 teams who finished 3rd and 4th respectively. Well played to the Brazil 🇧🇷 boys who topped the group stage but fell at the final hurdle after three strong performances. Congratulations to the England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 team who went unbeaten and won the final with a 2-0 scoreline to lift the trophy 🏆
Superb stuff from Remy, Logan, Blake, Bobby and Fran 👏👏🥇 Fran also won player of the tournament as she captained England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 with her all action style and lots of quality on the ball. She also put in a match winning performance in that crucial final 👏

One more tournament remains for this season and it’s the turn of the oldest group with the U16-U18’s taking to the court on Wednesday. With the line up of players attending it’s bound to be a highly competitive and top quality night.
