I see you amiga. You are the one holding it all together. Between the kids school schedules, the chaos at home with my 4, and crushing it at work, you are also the one making sure your parents are taken care of as they age.

It is called the Sandwich Generation squeeze and for us Latinas it hits different. Our culture is built on familismo and we do not walk away when family needs us. But here is the hard truth I have had to face: being the safety net for everyone else cannot come at the cost of your own future.

If we do not build our own wealth and set firm financial boundaries with love we risk becoming a burden to our own children later on. That is not the legacy we want to leave. You can honor your parents and still prioritize your retirement. It is not an either or scenario. It is about a strategy that allows for both.

I am opening the Fall Cohort for high achieving women ready to master their cash flow and build a legacy. We will dive into these cultural expectations and create a roadmap that works for your life and your family.

Send me a message if you are ready to stop the overwhelm and start building real wealth. Let us do this together.

The "Mom, can I have...?" loop was driving me crazy. With four kids and a schedule that never stops, I felt like a human ATM. I realized I was losing a golden chance to teach them real discipline.

That’s why we gave the kids their own debit cards (with major guardrails!).

Having "skin in the game" changed the whole vibe. Now, when we’re at the store and the kids see a shiny new toy, I don’t have to be the "no" person. I just look at them and ask, "Do you have enough on your card?"

Suddenly, that "must-have" item isn't so urgent when it's their balance on the line. It forces them to stop, think, and decide if it’s worth their hard-earned money. It’s real-world money management happening right in the Target aisle while my husband and I try to finish the grocery list in peace.

We’re teaching them that money is a tool, not a magic trick from Mom’s purse.

This is heartbreaking.....
Every time I see families lose their homes to fires, floods, or other disasters, my heart breaks.

In moments like these, the last thing anyone wants to worry about is, "How am I going to pay for a hotel tonight?" or "How will I replace the essentials my family needs?"

We can't always prevent tragedy, but we can prepare for the unexpected.

That's why an emergency fund isn't just a financial goal. It's peace of mind.

Even setting aside a small amount each paycheck can make a difference over time. An emergency fund gives you options when life takes an unexpected turn, whether it's a natural disaster, job loss, medical emergency, or major home repair.

If you don't have one yet, don't let that discourage you. Start where you are. Consistency matters more than the amount.

Your future self and your family will thank you.

Praying for every family navigating unimaginable loss today. May they find strength, support, and hope as they rebuild.

Have you started your emergency fund yet? If so, what helped you stay consistent?

Mama, stop just giving them chores and start hiring your employees.

Between laundry piles and school runs, I realized my kids weren't just living here: they’re part of the Arteaga Team. I stopped calling it chores and started treating it like their first job.

When they earn their own "dinero" for real work, their mindset shifts. They learn that money doesn’t just appear when I tap a card; it’s the result of effort and discipline.

I’m in the trenches with you, balancing four kids and a business. I see the pride in my kids' eyes when they get "paid" for helping with real tasks. We aren’t just raising kids; we’re raising the next generation of wise leaders.

Most real estate investors focus on building properties.

The smartest ones also build the next generation.

This photo isn't about sweeping a floor.

It's about raising a child who understands that ownership comes with responsibility. That wealth isn't inherited by chance. It's built through work ethic, stewardship, and learning to take care of what you own.

One day our kids will inherit more than our homes.

They'll inherit our habits.

At the Dinero Kidz Academy, we're teaching kids how to:
šŸ’° Build healthy money habits
šŸ“ˆ Think like investors instead of consumers
šŸ¤ Work as a team
🌱 Create wealth through responsibility and service

Imagine your child buying their first investment property because you planted the seed today.

The best investment you'll ever make isn't your next deal.

It's the mindset of the child who may one day manage them all.

We're building legacy.

Why does it feel like saying no to family is the same as saying no to our culture? I know I’m not the only one who has felt that weight.

As Latina moms we’re raised with that beautiful familia first mindset but sometimes that pressure to be the financial safety net for everyone can leave us feeling completely drained. It’s hard to build your own wealth or even just keep your head above water when you’re trying to carry everyone else too.

Setting a boundary isn't being selfish even though it might feel like it at first. It’s really about being sustainable. You can’t pour from an empty cup and you definitely can’t build a legacy for your kids if your own foundation is shaky. It’s okay to tell someone you love them while also saying you can’t help financially right now.

If you’re feeling that guilt or stuck choosing between your own goals and your relatives let’s talk. I’d love to help you create a plan that honors your heart for your family without sacrificing your bank account. Send me a DM or just comment PLAN and let’s figure this out together.

I’ve been there: staring at bank statements while the kids finally napped, feeling that heavy knot in my stomach. I was earning well, but I had NO clue where it was all going. I felt like I was failing my familia because I didn’t have a plan.

Confidence doesn’t come from a perfect bank account overnight. It comes from CLARITY. It’s looking at the numbers, messy as they may be, and saying, "I see you. Now, here is what we are going to do."

As a mom of four, I know the trenches are real. Between groceries, school fees, and building a legacy, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But when you have a roadmap, that anxiety turns into authority. You stop asking "can we afford this?" and start saying "this is how we're funding our future."

Stop letting the unknown steal your peace. You’re capable of mastering your cash flow and building wealth that lasts.

Ready to move from overwhelmed to empowered? Let’s build your roadmap together.

Mamas, let’s talk about that moment when our kids actually "get it." My 8-year-old, Izan, had a choice this week: go play basketball or grab a paint roller and help his PapĆ” paint an entire house. He chose the work.

I was so proud because he didn’t just do it for the money: he did it because he has Clarity. He’s saving for an E-Bike and knows exactly what that goal costs. He’s learning sweat equity and what it means to "self-perform" before he ever touches a real estate investment.

I hear from so many of you: "Michelle, I try to save, but it just vanishes." I’m in the trenches with you, and I’ve been there. The truth? Your "why" isn’t loud enough yet. Without Clarity, every distraction wins. When you have Clarity, you stay focused.

This is the heartbeat of Dinero Kidz Academy. We aren't just teaching kids about dollars; we’re building their vision.

Look at my 10-year-old, Izan. He had a choice: hit the basketball court with friends or grab a paint roller to help his dad paint an entire house. He chose the work.

Most kids (and adults!) would pick the play over the payoff. But Izan has Clarity. He’s saving for an E-Bike and knows exactly what it takes to get there. By working construction with his dad, he’s not just earning; he’s learning to "self-perform." He’s seeing the sweat equity now so that when he’s a real estate investor later, he understands the true value of the labor.

I hear it from my coaching clients constantly: "Michelle, I try to save, but the money just disappears." I tell them: Your "why" isn’t loud enough. Without Clarity, every distraction wins. When you have Clarity, you stay focused and motivated.

This is the heartbeat of Dinero Kidz Academy. We aren't just teaching kids about coins; we’re building vision.

Ever feel like you’re working a 9-to-5 just to pay off a past you didn’t even want?

Proverbs 22:7 says, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender." That word "slave" hits different when you’re looking at your kids across the dinner table.

As a mom of four, I’ve been in those trenches. I know the feeling of having a "great career" but your paycheck is already gone before it even hits the bank. It’s exhausting, and it’s not the legacy I want for my babies.

We aren't just paying down credit cards; we’re fighting for freedom. We’re breaking the cycle so our kids don’t start their adult lives behind the 8-ball like we did. God wants us to be good stewards, not prisoners to a monthly payment.

Stop running on the treadmill. You deserve to fund the life you envision, not just survive the one you’re in.

Ready to break the chains and build a real legacy for your familia? DM me the word FREEDOM. Let’s build a roadmap that actually works for your life.
