This is what the county fair is about for our family. We just celebrated my grandad, Clarence Thrasher’s, 100th birthday this past weekend. His life has been about Faith, Family and Ranching in that order. His family came to Oklahoma when he was 3 in a covered wagon. The traditions that come from this way of life are so important to me. I’m glad that raising our own goat herd has allowed an avenue to pass that down to my children. They take pride in their efforts and you can see the pride on my grandparents face as they watch the kids in the ring. The banner photo here has 4 generations of farming/ranching standing side by side. I firmly believe there is better way to raise a family. The county fair allows our kids to showcase their breeding choices, their showmanship and is a reward for their year round efforts. This coming fair they will walk in with all home grown animals. There is just something special about that.

The county fair is so much more than animals, food, and fun—it’s an important part of what brings our community together. ❤️🌽

For generations, the fair has given people a place to share their hard work, talents, traditions, and pride in our community. It’s especially exciting to see first-time exhibitors step forward and become part of that tradition!

Every ribbon, project, animal, and exhibit represents time, dedication, learning, and courage. For a first-time fair exhibitor, the experience is about so much more than winning—it’s about building confidence, making memories, and becoming part of something bigger.

We’re proud of all of our exhibitors, especially those participating for the very first time. The future of our county fair and our community is bright! 🌟

Our fair is made possible by the incredible people in our community who are willing to give their time and talents to help others.

This year, we want to extend a special thank-you to Cindy Malson and her grandson, who stepped up to judge our school poster contest. Her willingness to volunteer helped make this special activity possible for our students and contributed to the spirit of the fair.

Volunteers like Cindy represent the very best of civic engagement. When members of a community step forward, lend a hand, and give their time, they help strengthen the connections that make our community such a wonderful place.

The Fair Board deeply appreciates everyone who volunteers, participates, and supports the fair. Your generosity and willingness to get involved make a meaningful difference—not only in the success of the fair, but in our community as a whole.

Thank you, Cindy; and thank you to all of the volunteers who give so generously of their time. We truly appreciate you!
