💙💛 OFFICIALLY WARRIORS. 💛💙
Tonight we got to do something pretty special — we held our official RVA Warriors Signing Day and watched these girls commit to their team, their teammates, and the season ahead. 🥎
But when they signed their names tonight, it meant so much more than committing to play softball.
They committed to showing up.
They committed to working hard.
They committed to being coachable.
They committed to being good teammates.
They committed to pushing through the hard days.
And most importantly, they committed to being part of something bigger than themselves.
This season will bring wins, losses, great plays, strikeouts, home runs, errors, tears, laughter, long tournament weekends, early mornings, dirty uniforms and probably more snacks than we can count. 😂 But somewhere in the middle of all of that, these girls are going to make memories they’ll carry with them long after they hang up their cleats.
Because what we are building here isn’t supposed to be just about softball.
Of course we want to develop great softball players. We want them to learn the game, become stronger, compete, work hard and push themselves beyond what they thought they could do. But even more than that, we want to help develop strong young women. We want them to learn that hard work matters even when nobody is watching. That perseverance means getting back up when something doesn’t go your way. That failure isn’t something to be afraid of — sometimes it’s the greatest teacher you’ll ever have. That being a good teammate means celebrating someone else’s success just as loudly as you celebrate your own.
That your attitude and character will always speak louder than a scoreboard. That you can compete fiercely and still show respect. That sometimes you have to sit in the uncomfortable moments, learn from them, and keep moving forward. And that the name on the front of your jersey represents every girl standing beside you. 💙💛
We want a culture where every girl knows she matters. A culture where they can make mistakes without being afraid to try again. A culture where hard work is expected, but encouragement is just as important. A culture where teammates become friends, families become family, and everyone understands that we are working toward something together.
There will be growing pains.
There will be challenges.
There will be days when things don’t go according to plan.
That’s part of sports, and honestly, that’s part of life. But that’s also where the lessons are.

Keep showing up.
Keep working.
Keep believing.
Keep fighting.
Persevere.
Tonight is just the beginning.
To our girls — wear WARRIORS across your chest with pride. Play for the girl beside you. Work when nobody is watching. Be humble when you succeed. Give yourself grace when you fail. Never be afraid of hard things. And always remember that who you become through this journey matters far more than any trophy you could ever bring home.
We are incredibly excited to see where this season takes this group.
