All weekend long we have prayed before every game with our opponents for the young boy from New Jersey Xavier Taylor. There is finally an update and our legends family is so glad for the good news. Baseball is more than just a game it’s a community that brings everyone together all over the country. Keep fighting Xavier we know you will pull thru.

As the East Tennessee Legends take the field this weekend, we do so with heavy hearts but a greater purpose.

This weekend, we play in honor of #6 Xavier Taylor.

Every pitch, every at-bat, every out, and every run scored will be dedicated to a young man who has left an impact on so many lives. While the game of baseball is something we all love, this weekend reminds us that it’s about much more than wins and losses. It’s about family, friendships, memories, and honoring those who mean so much to us.

We ask our Legends family, friends, and supporters to keep Xavier’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. We will proudly carry his memory onto the field and play the game the way he would want us to—with heart, passion, and a love for the game.

This weekend, #6 is with us in every inning.

The East Tennessee Legends finished the day 2-0 and put on an offensive showcase, scoring 21 runs across two games while battling their way into Sunday bracket play!

A special congratulations goes out to some of our Legends who left the yard today:

💣 #3 Zyon Russ – 2 HOME RUNS on the day!
💣 #4 Daniel Underwood – 1 HOME RUN, bringing his season total to an impressive 10 home runs!
💣 #22 Dylan Stephens – 1 HOME RUN, his second of the season!

These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work these young men continue to put in every day.

While we’re proud of today’s success, the job isn’t finished. The boys will be back at it tomorrow as we head into Sunday bracket play with one goal in mind—compete, battle, and leave it all on the field.

Also huge congratulations to our own #6 for earning the Grit Award! Making huge plays in the outfield all game long and battling through every moment. Even got robbed by the umpires on what everyone knows was an amazing hit that DROPPED! Keep grinding kid, your moment is coming! ⚾️👏
