Congratulations to Ellie Doughty for a fantastic day leading off hitting for the Dukes and making some fantastic defensive plays! MVP Championship Game!

It was a cold day. It was a long day but these girls played great. We faced some really tough and strong competition. Including a AA team in pools. The girls dug their heals in, in bracket play and won a 9-3 victory to advance to the Silver Championship! We unfortunately ran out of gas in the championship game but that doesn’t take away from how hard these girls played today. They hit, played great defense and played all the way to the end of every game. We continue to grow and get better in every game, tournament and practice. Proud of these girls! Go Dukes!

Congratulations to Caroline Yount for pitching a fantastic 3-0 shutout yesterday in Aiken,SC! This girl has been the anchor for the Dukes this season and we would not know where we would be without her. She continues to grow, not only as a pitcher but as a ball player! Congratulations to Molly Musick for being the Iron wall behind the plate and supporting Caroline during the game! These two together are a dangerous combination! Great job girls! Go Dukes!

It was a very long and hot one yesterday. First hot tournament of the season. First tournament back from spring break. We definitely had a lot of rust from the holiday week but the girls still managed to find themselves in a championship bracket. Certainly not the weekend we wanted to have and we have a lot to work on this week, so will can have a much better performance next weekend but the girls walked away with some hardware. Go Dukes!

The Dukes will be back in action tomorrow! We will be in Indian Trail, at the Crooked Creek Park! Come out and support the girls! Go Dukes!

Let’s give it up for one of our girls! Caroline Yount! She’s having a great season on her school team! So proud of her. Way to go Caroline!

Congratulations Makinsley Rollins for her blast out of the ballpark yesterday! Makinsley hit a three run homer in our 1st against the Knockouts! So proud of this girl. Confidence and mindset is everything. Way to go Makinsley!!!

What a weekend. The girls battled hard. First PG tournament and what a statement these ladies made. We went 1-1 in pool play, setting us up to be the top seed in the C-Championship. While the championship game didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to, the girls never gave up. They fought all the way to the end. We had big time hits, including a homer over the fence, as well as some incredible pitching and defense. Every week these girls are improving. I am so proud of them! Great job girls! Go Dukes!
