Hemon BIM recently had the pleasure of scanning a 175k sqft Renovation for Choate Construction in the Ballantyne neighborhood of Charlotte NC. In conjunction with The BIM Studio, we completed the scan over the course of 2 days and carried out a consultation in which we compared the spatial data captured by the scan to the design documents. With the use of the Faro 120 scanner and Faro Scene software we were also able to provide the client with data about the flatness of slabs and plumb of existing structural members.

Laser scanning has made a surge in popularity in the past few years and trends show it's popularity increasing in the future. The applications for this technology are numerous and we are proud to be leading the way.

Hemom BIM wraps up coordination efforts on the new 300k+ sqft VA (Veterans Affairs) Hospital in Kernersville NC.
This project, like any construction project involving coordination, was challenging for all parties, but under the leadership of the BIM team at Lend Lease and with the support of the greater BIM team, comprised of sub contractors, fabricators and, product manufacturers, we were able to achieve our coordination goals, thus creating unmeasurable savings during the construction process.
"This was truly a team effort, with up to 3 coord meetings per week and much intermittent correspondence between meetings, but it goes to proving that the BIM process has great value and in order to create well coordinated spaces, all parties must buy in and commit. The rewards greatly outweigh the investment", states HemonBIM founder and CEO, Daryn Paschall.
