Johnson C. Smith Women's Tennis

The Johnson C. Smith Men's and Women's tennis program will play at the Charlotte Amateur Tennis Championship this upcoming weekend, Sept 10-12, at the Queens University tennis complex in Charlotte, NC.

This will be the golden bulls first competition since March 2020! JC-SU, you know 💛💙🎾

Johnson C. Smith University will induct the late James Cuthbertson, Jr. into the JCSU Hall of Fame during halftime of the JCSU vs. Virginia Union football game on September 25, 2021.

James Cuthbertson, Jr. was the Former Men's and Women's Tennis at JCSU, six time consecutive CIAA tennis champion, and a CIAA Hall of Fame recipient.

The Johnson C. Smith Women's Tennis program has been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team for the 2020-2021 season.

Halle Parker , Cierra Turner, Jada Strickland, Taylor Profett-Brooks, and Ione Brewer were selected as ITA Scholar Athletes.

The All-Academic Team award is presented to any ITA program with a cumulative grade point average of a 3.20 or higher. For individual scholar-athletes, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.50 for the entire academic year.
