The smoke, the despair…the chaos, the grief. The countless lives lost. The unanswered questions. The aftermath. The hatred spewed.
We will never forget #911

Imagine recommitting yourself to living the healthiest lifestyle you KNOW you DESERVE.
Picture looking in the mirror🪞and being proud of yourself. Not because of how you look 💪🏾but because of how far you’ve come, all the obstacles you overcame, and the many ways you honored your body and mind 🧠
Well, that’s what did.
We had the pleasure of spending last winter break and this summer coaching Jake and encouraging him as he got back to the things he knew worked for him — nutritious foods 🍒🍓🍎🍑🍇🍗occasional indulgences 🍔🍕🌮, and consistent strength and conditioning training 🏋🏽♀️.
The best part: he did this without crazy restriction and he even celebrated his 21st birthday as any 21 year old would— in style 😉
If you’re as excited about Jake’s progress as we are, please leave a comment. We are sure the encouragement would be appreciated as he takes on his last year of college.
You never cease to amaze us, Jake! Kudos to you, sir!

Have you ever had a totally nutritious breakfast and then take a "nose dive" at lunch or have a cookie as a snack and decide, "forget it, I'll start over tomorrow"?
Do you find yourself saying weekly, "I'll start over on Monday" after having all the sweets, amazing restaurant foods, or alcohol?
How about the idea that if you can't get it "perfectly" then you won't do it at all?
If so, you are probably an "all or nothing" person. And while I can't fault you for wanting to excel and do exceptionally well in what you set out to do, I must remind you that that's simply not how life works (not in the long run, at least).
Sometimes we feel that we have to have it all perfect before we decide to show up.
Or, that if we don't "get it right" all the time then we may was well not do it at all.
What if, instead, I was able to convince you that in order to get it "perfect" you have to actually decide to continue to show up, imperfectly?
Nutrition and fitness aren't an all or nothing deal. It will be extremely hard to see success if every time you don't do something perfectly you decide to throw in the towel and give up.
There is beauty and progress in the imperfections. You know the term, fail forward...
That simply means to learn from your mistakes or missteps and allow them to move you forward to ultimately see success.
That's what I want you to do this week — fail forward and go ALL IN — imperfectly.
If you miss Monday's workout, start back on Tuesday.
If you have ice cream with lunch, double up on those veggies at dinner.
If you decide to have Tacos on Tuesday, win on Wednesday with a nutritious breakfast and plenty of water throughout the day.
The all or nothing mentality will have you stuck….get out of that rut by choosing to do your best everyday and getting "back on the wagon" as quickly as possible — THIS is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful.
Cheers 🥂, my friends to a perfectly imperfect week.

Sometimes when we stop seeing results, we like to call it a plateau....
Mayyyyyybe we stopped doing some of the things we were doing that caused us to see results.
Those sweets you started eating again....are they making their way back into your daily diet/nutrition?
You started going hard on your workouts but lately you’ve been slacking, missing sessions, and simply going through the motions when you DO show up...
There’s a chance that these longer days (hello more sunshine) has you staying up later. Don’t forget how important those precious zzz’s are....
Check it out, though....None of what we’ve said above matters if you’re not willing to be honest with yourself....
Keep it real with us (and yourself)...where have you been slacking lately?

A lot of gyms and trainers like to brag on a physical transformation. Don’t get us wrong, we looooove a good before and after, but what about the other changes that take place outside of what you can see in a side-by-side pic?
Here are 3 transformations that take place while working to transforming your body. There are more, so maybe we’ll highlight those another day.
1. Nutrition
2. Miindset (it definitely starts here)
3. Relationships
Today, on this , let’s celebrate the changes that happen as a result of taking charge of your health!
Which of these transformations is most ideal to you? Drop a line letting us know which you might be striving for.
