Last weekend - #3 seed in the gold bracket, with two of their wins facing AA teams. One that came down to 4-4 when time expired...international tie breaker, they put up four runs and got the third out with a throw from left field to home plate to win 8-6.

This weekend - #2 seed in the gold bracket and ended as gold bracket runner-ups in a very tight game. They went into the final inning 1-3, loaded the bases, then a two out rally hard hit got knocked down a little too fast...big hits and great plays on both sides all day long. So very proud of these girls!

Xtremes went 1-1 in pool play today, then finished the day with three back to back bracket wins - way to battle girls!!! 💛💪🏻🥎

Reminder that tryouts are on for tonight at Hills Chapel Church in Stanley (5:30-7:30). This is a 2011/2010 birth year team.

Big congrats to our #2 Jordyn (6th grade) for making the ELMS softball team!!! Falcons, here she comes!

SILVER BRACKET CHAMPS this weekend in an open division!!! These girls battled back from a rough second game with injuries leading to errors that left us 1-1 in pool play. They worked hard to bring home their pink rings after 12 hours on the fields. Bats were hot in brackets with several deep hits to the fence and defense was on point. They added 40 runs to our Hits for Holly challenge (31 on the books after reverting back due to time in pool play...but we’re counting all of them). That’s another $200 raised to support cancer research! 💪🏻💗🥎🙌🏻

Third seed in the gold bracket for the third weekend in a row at the Fight Like a Girl tournament. Our bats didn’t heat up quite fast enough this morning - but these girls rallied to put up 5 runs in the final inning and went down swinging with runners on, losing by 1. Our challenge from last year will continue this October to raise money for a cure with each run scored. They added 29 to the tally this weekend. At a pledge of $5 a run that’s being matched, we’ll start the donation pool strong with $290 raised! 💗
