--Being honest about what’s going on is essential. You’ve heard it before, “the first step is admitting”. You’ll never conquer what you refuse to confront!
--We all have coping strategies. Some are just harmful while others are helpful. Replace those negative behaviors with positive and healthier strategies. Break the unhealthy patterns!
--YOU are only ever able to control you. Address what you can and lay the rest aside. Feeling more in control of your situation will allow you to embrace the positive changes that are occurring giving you space to cope more effectively with what’s out of your control.
--Self-care is so important. Giving yourself a much needed break will do wonders for decreasing symptoms of stress you’re feeling.
--Call a professional! That’s what we’re here for. Getting assistance from others is not a bad thing.
