Race Recap — Ace Speedway 08/28/2026

It was another great night of racing at Ace Speedway with a large field of stout cars! The day started a little rough when we broke a panhard bar bracket during practice, but Jason York and York Racing came to the rescue. They had a new part at the track by the time we got everything apart! Huge thanks to Jason and their crew, we would have never made the race without friends like that!

Once fixed, it was all on "Big Body" Bryson Pickard to bring the pain! He got up on the wheel in qualifying and let it rip, netting a solid P4 starting position. When the green flag flew, we lost a few positions due to being outside row but that didn't stop Big Body. He picked them off one by one over the 75 lap feature, getting up to P2 by the halfway point. A late race restart mishap slid us back one spot, but when the checkered flag flew it was another P3 podium finish for the PDR team!

As always, the PDR Pit Crew was in full effect! Kyler “Cheeseburger” Pickard, RC “Rocket” McCabe, and “Zig Zag” Zack Knight were busting knuckles, while Logan Dernoshek was on the mic keeping Bryson calm. We couldn't do it without these guys!

That's enough yapping. Not a bad night, but we still need to be faster. So let’s go turn some wrenches and find some more speed!

Race Recap — Ace Speedway 08/14/2026

Well, we finally got Mother Nature to cooperate for Twin 50’s at Ace Speedway last night! The weather was hot, but the competition was even hotter, with the largest field of Late Model Stock Cars we’ve seen all season!

“Big Body” Bryson Pickard laid down a heater in qualifying, putting the PDR car in a solid P5 starting spot for the first twin. When the green flag flew, it was on like Donkey Kong all the way to the checkered flag. Once the dust settled, the 05 was sitting on the podium with a P3 finish!

The top 8 were inverted for the second twin, putting us at P6 for the start. The initial start didn’t quite go our way, and it turned into a follow-the-leader race from green to checkered. We came home P7. Not exactly what we were hoping for, but still a great night with that podium finish in the first race!

Unfortunately, the rain won this week 😢. Don't worry, we'll be ready for the next one!

Unfortunately, due to the weather, Friday, July 24th's race has been canceled. After yesterday and today's rain, there is already standing water in portions of the pit area, and with more rain expected overnight, we have made the decision to cancel.

We know this is disappointing, and we appreciate everyone's understanding and support.

Our next event will be Friday, August 14th for Back to School Night, featuring Twin Late Model races along with an exciting night of racing. Stay tuned for more details on all the activities and special events planned.

Race Recap – Ace Speedway (06/19/2026)

As you can see in the pic, some days don't go as planned 🤷. Here's the skinny...car ran good in practice and qualifying, got shuffled on the starts, and ended up in two seperate incidents that ultimately resulted in a dnf.

That's just racing, no excuses here. We did take some detailed notes on how to improve for next time though:

1. GO FASTER
2. Dont tear crap up! 🤣🤣

Race Recap – Ace Speedway (06/05/2026)

Our team has been working hard to find more speed and were excited to give it a race day test this week! With Twin 40's on the schedule, we were able to have two shots at getting our ride up front.

In the first race, Big Body Bryson Pickard rolled off P4, got shuffled, and basically played follow the leader to a P5 finish. Not what we wanted, but we knew what changes were needed for the last race.

After the invert and a few tweaks, we rolled off from the pole in race two. Bryson led quite a few laps, but ultimately didn't have enough to get the job done and ended the night with a P2 podium finish! Still not fast enough, but a great end to a productive day.
