Upward Bound

It’s been a month since we went to truly one of the most serene experiences we’ve had this year with CLAYWORKS. When you make something with your own hands it has a different feel to it. Not what you actually made but what it produces for your mind. You get a sensation that can’t be explained and that same sensation comes from completing a meaningful project at school or even a book you’ve been invested in. The act of completion is something that raises the level of satisfaction within a person.

Whatever you start please always remember to finish it. Whether that be your assignments, college or in this case Art.

If we lived in a perfect world, and everyone could go for their dreams and be able to live a good life off of it what would you be doing?

For us… it’s this. Giving someone meaningful to our students. The society has so much going on, but in the face of everything we get to be around his amazed students who unknown have changed our last forever.

We had a blast at NCCU. Going to these college are about more than a trip on a teacher work day. It’s an opportunity to get to know each other while doing something meaningful and having a good time in a safe environment.

Another month and another academic Saturday this time we had the amazing opportunity of having Charlotte’s very own come and graces with some excellent scholarship advice. Our students do their best to strive for excellence. With every day that passes, we see their growth. We are so proud that they are a part of our program. What will the next Academic Saturday?

We want to give a huge shoutout to our exceptional student Cameron Brooks for his achievements in the classroom. Cameron has been nothing short of excellent and he’s only a sophomore. Keep being great and know that your TRIO family is proud of you!
