Whether you’ve made a donation, sponsored our organization, donated equipment or services, participated in a fundraiser, shared one of our posts, or simply showed up to support our kids — you are part of what we are building.

Rough Rider Youth is about much more than winning games. We use sports as a vehicle to help young athletes develop character, confidence, discipline, resilience, teamwork, and virtue — lessons we hope they carry with them long after their playing days are over.

Your support helps us provide equipment, uniforms, field rentals, player development opportunities, scholarships, special experiences, and other resources that directly benefit our kids and families.

As we continue to grow, we don't take for granted the number of people who have stepped up and said, in one way or another, “We believe in what you're doing.”

What a moment for Jaxton Fisher this past weekend against the Hawks!

Jaxton hit his first-ever home run, and in the process, hit the first home run for our team!

We are all incredibly proud of Jaxton and this accomplishment. As coaches, teammates, and parents, we get to see the work these kids put in behind the scenes — the practices, the reps, the struggles, the adjustments, and the confidence they continue to build. That’s what makes moments like this so special.

Seeing Jaxton round those bases and getting to celebrate with his teammates was an awesome moment for all of us. He earned it, and we couldn’t be happier for him.

Congratulations, Jaxton! Enjoy this one. Your first home run is something you’ll always remember — and we’re proud we got to be there for it!

What a weekend for the Rough Riders!

Congratulations to our boys on bringing home a ring at the Five Tool Youth “Heat of Summer” Tournament!

And this tournament absolutely lived up to its name. These were some of the most severe temperatures we have ever played in, especially on turf. The heat coming off that field was brutal, but our boys kept competing, supporting each other, and fighting through every inning. We are incredibly proud of the toughness and resilience they showed all weekend.

A few tournament standouts deserve some recognition:

OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS

Ryder Raesz — Ryder was on another level at the plate, going 6-for-8 (.750) with 3 doubles, a triple, 6 RBI, 5 runs scored and ZERO strikeouts. He consistently drove the baseball and delivered when we needed runs.

Evan Zhu — Evan quietly put together an outstanding tournament, going 3-for-4 (.750) with a double, 3 RBI and ZERO strikeouts. He consistently made quality contact and was one of our most dependable bats throughout the weekend.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS

Nolan Howell — Nolan was dominant on the mound. Across 2 innings, he allowed ZERO hits and ZERO runs while striking out 5 hitters. When we needed strikes and outs, Nolan delivered.

Benji Bernal — Benji gave us an outstanding defensive performance at first base, including a game where he went 5-for-5 on defensive chances, helped turn a double play, and gave our infield a dependable target across the diamond.

But the ring belongs to the whole team.

Every walk, stolen base, pitch, catch, ground ball, run scored, dugout cheer, and teammate picking another teammate up contributed to this weekend.

The heat tested them physically. Tough innings tested them mentally. They kept playing.

That’s what we want Rough Rider baseball to represent:

Way to represent the Rough Riders!!!! Ryder had the highest batting average, most RBI’s, inside the park home run, and managed to logged his first inning as a pitcher!!!!

What an awesome turnout for our Rough Rider Youth Raising Cane's Fundraiser!

Thanks to our families, friends, players, and everyone who came out to support us, we raised $147! Every dollar will go directly toward helping cover field rentals for our athletes this season.

We’re incredibly grateful to Raising Cane’s for partnering with us and giving our community another way to support local youth sports.

It may have been a fundraiser, but seeing our baseball and softball players hanging out, laughing, eating together, and building friendships was just as valuable. This is what Rough Rider Youth is all about—building teams, building character, and building community.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, grabbed some Cane’s, and supported our kids. $147 closer to the next practice field! 💪

Now THIS is how the Rough Riders do a birthday party!

Wiffle ball, pizza, a bunch of kids running around playing like it’s their own version of The Sandlot… and then straight to the pool for some swimming. Pretty hard to beat that.

One of my favorite things about what we’re building with the Rough Riders is that it has become so much more than practices and games. These kids are becoming friends, families are connecting, and we’re building a real community around them.

Days like this are what youth sports should be about. Baseball, friendships, memories, and a whole lot of fun.

We’ve got an awesome group of kids and families, and it’s pretty exciting to see how much this Rough Rider community continues to grow.

Fall 2026… here we come.

Big News!

We’re excited to officially announce the launch of our first-ever Rough Riders Softball team!

Please help us welcome our 12U Rough Riders as they begin their inaugural Fall 2026 season at Cedar Park Youth League.

This is an exciting milestone for Rough Rider Youth as we continue our mission of providing young athletes with opportunities to grow through sports, mentorship, and character development.

Our program is built on three core values:

We’re looking forward to an incredible season of learning, competing, and building lasting friendships. Thank you to everyone who has supported our nonprofit and helped make this possible. Your encouragement and generosity continue to open new doors for young athletes in our community.
