🏆 Tonight's the Night! 🏆

The 2026 class joins the Cascade High School Athletic Hall of Fame TONIGHT!!! Join us at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Cascade for this year's ceremony. Doors open at 6:00, with the ceremony beginning at 7:00. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Note: Due to illness, Nate Schmidt is unable to attend the induction ceremony.

A few quick pictures of our Hall of Fame inductees participating in this afternoon’s Homecoming events. They’ll also be recognized at tonight’s football game. And of course during the induction ceremony tomorrow night at 7:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Unfortunately, Nate Schmidt is unable to join us this weekend due to illness. He’ll remain a member of the Class of 2026, and will be formally inducted at a future ceremony.

This Day in Cougar Athletics: August 31, 1976 (50 Years Ago) - Cascade High School administrators announce that the Cougar will be the new school’s mascot, with Columbia blue, navy blue, and gold serving as the school colors. Those were the top choices in a poll of students attending the new school.

This Day in Cougar Athletics: August 30, 1976 (50 Years Ago) - The very first Cascade High School athletic competition sees the Cougar baseball team, while still wearing the previous summer's Aquin uniforms, defeat Don Bosco 8-5. Third baseman Mark Neiers led the Cascade attack, going 2-3 with two runs scored, while driving in the go-ahead run.

Cougar alum Jordan Weber will have his "jersey" retired by the University of Northern Iowa on Saturday, October 31.

This Day in Cougar Athletics: August 9, 2016 (10 Years Ago) - For the seventh time in program history, the Cascade baseball team lands multiple players on the All-State first team, as pitcher Trace Hoffman (pictured) and outfielder Kurt Trumm both receive the recognition from the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association. Hoffman is also named to the first team by the Iowa Newspaper Association and Des Moines Register.
