We’re beyond proud of how well these girls played this weekend going 6-0, winning the championship, and clinching their first national qualifier ticket! With AFA changing the rules this year and teams having to qualify to get in, it makes this weekends win even more memorable and exciting!
These girls battled through the heat all weekend, keeping their bats hot and playing incredible defense from start to finish. Their fight, energy, and determination never let up!
A huge shoutout to Brynlee H. for being selected as the Championship Game MVP by the Lady Hawks Julien coach! She absolutely earned it!
We also want to recognize our Weekend MVPs:
🥎 Melani M. — .474 batting average
🥎 Xavyanna M. — .467 batting average + her FIRST OUT-OF-THE-PARK HOMERUN!
🥎 Addie W. — .611 batting average, the highest on the team for the weekend!
All three made a huge impact defensively as well, and their power on both sides of the ball was a huge part of this championship run.
However, we couldn’t have done it without all of the girls on the team. Each girl makes a significant difference on this team and the reason why we continue to be successful! They continue to work hard, support each other, and they refuse to give up!
We would also like to give a HUGE shoutout to Coach Mike and Coach Ryan! Coaching doesn’t stop when practice, games, or tournaments end. So much work goes on behind the scenes to prepare these girls, develop them, and put them in a position to succeed. Their dedication to this team and genuine care for these girls shows, and we’re incredibly thankful for everything they do both on and off the field.
