In the past week, Texas has seen 9 more fatal child drownings:
A 5 year old boy drowned in a Bay in Cameron County.
A 3 year old boy drowned in a backyard pool in Collin County.
A 2 year old girl drowned in a backyard pool in Dallas County.
A 17 year old boy drowned in a Bay in Galveston County.
A 1 year old boy drowned in a backyard pool in Harris County.
A 10 month old boy drowned in a bathtub in Harris County.
A 9 month old boy drowned in a bathtub in Hays County.
A 15 year old boy drowned in a lake in Jackson County.
A 12 year old boy drowned in a lake in Kendall County.
Remember that for every drowning that ends in death, there are 8 more children who drown and do not die, many of whom suffer lifelong brain and organ injury.
Please remember these children and these families with us today.

⬇️👁️
Most people think drowning looks like the movies — splashing, screaming, waving for help.
It doesn't.
Drowning is fast and silent. And it's the #1 cause of accidental death in children ages 1–4 — not car accidents, not falls. Drowning.
A child can drown in moments. In the time it took you to read this far, a child can drown. In most cases, a supervising adult was present — they were just distracted or weren't expecting the child to have access to the water.
That's why active supervision — eyes on the water, every second — isn't just a suggestion. It's the difference.

📣 THIS IS YOUR CHANCE 📣
A child who Can Roll to Float and BREATHE has a CHANCE 🤍
*Trust me, I know ISR lessons are expensive and a huge commitment. Having my own pool house allows me much more flexibility.
I’m giving away one full ISR session to a family who is ready to give their child real, life-saving skills. 💙
This community has supported Little Swimmers with Becky in such an incredible way, and I wanted to find a meaningful way to give back while also spreading awareness about water safety and what young children are truly capable of.
These lessons are about far more than being “comfortable” in the water. They teach children how to respond if they ever find themselves in the water alone.
No child is drown-proof, and lessons never replace supervision, barriers, or other layers of protection. But these skills can buy precious time in an emergency.
ISR is a commitment. Lessons are Monday–Thursday Maximum of 24 lessons. They are short, individualized, and designed specifically for young children and their developmental abilities.
If you’ve been wanting to do ISR but haven’t taken the leap yet, this is such a special opportunity to apply.
📣 Please share this post so more families can see it. The more we talk about water safety, the more children we can help protect.

🚨❗️This is important❗️🚨
Even if you do not choose ISR lessons due to choice or lack of availability in your area, I implore you to seek out HIGH QUALITY swim lessons for your children
Lessons should always be 1:1 with an instructor and at a MINIMUM children should be taught how to hold their breath, how to roll to their backs and float, and how to get to the wall or a place of safety.
❌Flotation devices do not help children learn to swim and are not part of high quality swim lessons.
✅Don't be afraid to ask your instructor what your child will be able to do INDEPENDENTLY when lessons are complete.
✅The time line should be weeks, not years.
Ask your instructor about safety precautions used during lessons.
💯In ISR lessons, children as young as 6 months can learn to rollback and float in the event of an aquatic accident.
Older children learn a swim-float-swim sequence. If your child would not know what to do if they were to find themselves in the water alone,
👍🏻they are not too old for ISR lessons.
Next session start August 3rd.

If safety is truly the priority, then a few weeks of discomfort is absolutely worth the peace of mind of having a skilled swimmer with survival skills.
Drowning is fast. It is silent. And it does not care how much you love your child ⬇️
Here are a few things to keep in mind while choosing a program:
☑️Are the instructors trained and certified through a nationally recognized learn-to-swim curriculum?
☑️Do they teach good safety habits in, on and near water?
☑️Do they teach your child what to do if they end up in the water unexpectedly?
☑️Do they offer adapted aquatics for children with special health needs and developmental disabilities?
Next session start August 3rd.
