Congratulations to the The LC Riptide Yard Crew! A total of 6 homers hit by 5 stellar young men at Dreams Park Baseball in Cooperstown. (Ruxin, Landon, Evan(2), Vihaan, and Cruz)

Ruxin got us started with a 2-Run homer on missile to left field on a 2-2 count in the first inning of Game 1 in his first AB of the tournament giving LC a 7-1 lead early.

Landon had a big game in Game 2 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI, and a 2-Run opposite field blast to right.

Evan came to the plate in the first inning of Game 4 and hit a hit a 2-run nuke to dead center to give the Riptide a commanding 7-0 lead.

After being close on two doubles to right during the tournament, Vihaan had his big moment in the top of the 4th of Game 4 when he hit a towering moon shot that landed on top of the wall and bounced over for a solo shot.

In Game 5 vs Evanston, our very own Evan hit his second HR of the tournament by launching an oppo taco over the right field wall for a solo homer.

All homers are memorable, but some are instant classics. Down 0-2 in bracket play, Cruz stepped to the plate with the 2 outs and the bases loaded. He battled to a 3-2 count. On the next pitch he sent a now doubt laser over the fence to left center for a Grand Slam and put the Riptide out front 4-2. There was not a dry eye in the parent’s viewing area.

The Ripfam showed up and showed out in Cooperstown. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, sibs, moms, and dads all rallied to Dreams Park Baseball to support the boys. What a great week!
