We’re seeing more interest in a 144 chassis that can do a little more—higher-capacity seating, off-grid AC and a few well-chosen à la carte additions.
Think of it as a more capable Weekender without turning it into an over-the-top build. More seats for larger families, room to bring grandparents or friends, and a comfortable home base for long days at the beach, park or wherever you end up.
And when the day is over, you still have beds ready to sleep on.
More capacity, more flexibility, while keeping the build and budget simple.

Carlsbad, CA. Campers for people who want to get out for the weekend. #weekendvanscrew
The last stretches of summer from above.
Pine-lined roads, mountain ranges in every direction, and the van moving on to the next stop. Hard to beat this time of year on the road.
A few more long days left to make the most of.

2 out of 3 are still available 👀
We were able to secure these vans at dealer pricing, and just like always, we don’t mark up the van itself. Bundle the van + your Weekend Vans upfit through us and keep the whole process simple, from sourcing to build to pickup.

The DIY slider is one of those simple additions that can completely change how you use the back of the van. Load it up with bins and gear for easy-access storage, or pull it out and turn it into a convenient cooktop and prep area.
No digging through the van, no complicated setup, just extra usable space exactly where you need it.

This Basecamp takes a unique twist with higher-capacity seating and an RB Components upper bed, creating a fully modular layout that adapts to your needs. Configure it for up to 8 passengers or scale it down for a more intimate setup for just 2. Every inch is designed around flexibility, giving you open space when you want it and seating when you need it.

The van 🫱🏼🫲🏽 Yellowstone
Between floating the river, cooking beside El Cap, and lounging in the meadows, the van provided the perfect home base to slow down and take in all the beauty Yellowstone has to offer.

We get asked often which additions our team personally can’t live without. While everyone’s answer is a little different, they all have one thing in common: simplicity.
A Lagun table and a swivel seat are two of the easiest additions to the Basecamp—and two that add the most everyday functionality.
Like most of our additions, there’s no need to decide on everything upfront. Both can be added after the build is complete, giving families time to use the van, figure out how they travel, and decide what they actually need and what they don’t.

Two unforgettable weeks on the road with Swelly Nelson. From the towering peaks of Glacier National Park to the wild beauty of Yellowstone, we shared this adventure with friends of over 30 years. These are the kinds of trips that remind you how special it is to have access to our incredible public lands and the memories they make possible.
Here’s to more miles, more campfires, and more adventures together.

The easy beach days are often the most overlooked, but they’re when the van comes in handy the most. It’s already packed with the essentials and ready to go, just load up, hit the beach, rinse off the sandy feet when you’re done, and head home.
