Officially a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST)! 🚙👶🏻❤️

As a mom, Registered Nurse, Lactation Consultant, and founder of Snuggle Shield®, so much of my life and career has centered around keeping babies safe and helping parents feel confident caring for their little ones.

Becoming a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician felt like such a natural next step — so much so that I flew to Minneapolis to complete the training and certification.

Car seat safety can be overwhelming, and there is so much more to it than simply choosing the “right” seat. I’m excited to take what I’ve learned and use it to help educate and empower families — and to bring an even deeper level of safety knowledge into everything we do at Snuggle Shield®.

Another tool in my toolbox to help protect the tiniest passengers. ❤️

This photo was taken just after my C-section, as I held and breastfed one of my boys for the very first time.

At the time, I was already a registered nurse certified in inpatient obstetrics and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Even with the education and experience, breastfeeding still came with challenges. It required patience, perseverance, and support.

I went on to breastfeed both of my boys for two years each, and those experiences shaped me not only as a mom, but also as a healthcare provider and the founder of Snuggle Shield.

This week, I’m celebrating every family’s feeding journey. Whether you breastfeed, pump, supplement, or formula feed, every parent deserves support, encouragement, and zero judgment.

One of the questions I get asked most is, “Why did you create Snuggle Shield?”

The answer is simple: I’m passionate about helping keep babies safe while giving parents confidence and peace of mind.

As a registered nurse, IBCLC, mom, and founder of Snuggle Shield, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting families. That’s why I’m currently more than halfway through my Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) course—and why I’m flying all the way to Minneapolis for the hands-on training. Investing the time to gain this specialized education was important to me because I want to provide parents with the best, most evidence-based guidance possible.

Everything I do—from creating Snuggle Shield to continuing my education—is driven by one goal: helping families protect their little ones and feel more confident every step of the way.
