⛳️🔥 ROUGH RIDERS FINISH 4TH IN A LOADED 20-TEAM FIELD! 🔥⛳️

It was a BIG day for Theodore Roosevelt Boys Golf at the 2026 Massillon Tiger Invitational, and the Rough Riders more than held their own against one of the deepest fields they’ve faced this season!

With 20 teams and 96 golfers competing, Roosevelt fired a team score of 308 to finish 4th overall! 👏 The Riders finished ahead of programs including GlenOak, Buckeye, Amherst Steele, University School, Canton Central Catholic, Perry, Boardman, Massillon Washington, St. Vincent-St. Mary and more.

And how about freshman Drew VanDamme?! 🔥 Drew shot an outstanding 72 to finish tied for 4th overall out of 96 golfers — just THREE strokes behind the individual champion’s 69! What a performance in a field this size!

Jax Turner also put together a strong round, shooting a 77 to finish tied for 20th, while Garrett Polcha had a day to remember, firing a PERSONAL-BEST 78 and finishing tied for 23rd! 👏

Belleria generously donated tonight’s team dinner for our Rough Rider soccer players, and they definitely didn’t let anyone leave hungry! Pasta, pizza, salad, and plenty to go around!

⚽️ JV ROUGH RIDERS WIN! ⚽️

The Rough Rider Girls JV Soccer team picked up a statement 5-0 victory over Cloverleaf! 🔥

The Rough Riders came out firing, with Kira McKinney finding the back of the net twice on two impressive corner kicks! 🎯

Alyssa Hawthorne added two goals of her own, while Ava Gumm capped off the scoring with a goal to complete the 5-0 shutout! 💪

And it wasn’t just the offense getting it done! Goalie Molly Wiler and the Rough Riders defense locked down Cloverleaf for a clean sheet, keeping the pressure off and the scoreboard at zero. 🧤🧱

A complete team effort from front to back!

ANOTHER DOMINANT ROUGH RIDER WIN!🚨

The Kent Rough Rider women’s soccer team added another dominant win to their Metro League record, defeating Cloverleaf 8-0! ⚽️

Kent pulled away early, scoring six goals in the first 30 minutes and setting the tone from the opening whistle.

🔥 Maggie Pazderak led the way with a hat trick and one assist, followed closely by Audrey Haines with two goals and three assists.

Stella Haines, Sammi Maccarone, and Maddie Slack also found the back of the net, while Marie Vorhauer and Sammi Maccarone each added an assist.

The Rough Riders controlled the midfield throughout the match, with Molly Flynn playing dangerous balls and helping create opportunities for the attack.

The Colts came out with a strong surge in the second half, but Andy and Brooklyn Frank held strong on defense, battling through the pressure and helping Kent preserve the clean sheet.

Goalie Grace Schoenberger was strong once again, logging 9 saves to keep Cloverleaf off the scoreboard.

Another complete team performance from the Rough Riders.

Roosevelt Boys Soccer picked up another Metro Athletic Conference win tonight, defeating Cloverleaf 6–0!

🔥 Isan Roberts recorded a hat trick with three goals, while Josiah Atanga, Ian Mikula, and Kevin Zifchak each added a goal for the Rough Riders.

PORTAGE COUNTY CHAMPIONS! 🏆⛳️

What a day for Rough Rider Golf!

Both the Roosevelt Boys and Girls Golf teams captured the Portage County High School Championship, bringing home TWO team titles!

The boys finished first with a 317, topping Mogadore, Streetsboro, Aurora, Southeast, Rootstown, Waterloo, Garfield and Field.

The girls posted a 339 to finish first ahead of Southeast, Aurora, Streetsboro, Garfield, Rootstown, Field and Windham.

And the individual honors kept coming!
