Our supervisors, Chris Gilreath and Shane Ickes, finished this ramp for a local veteran. Our ramps for veterans is supported entirely by the funding of a local organization that supports veterans. Thanks to that support we are able to build these ramps and ensure those that served our country can stay mobile and active in our community.

We are hiring a transportation driver. In this capacity you will drive one of our wheelchair accessible vans and transport people to and from medical appointments, employment and more.

Must be able to pass a drug and background check. The schedule is Monday through Friday, and the shift can be either 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour for a 40-hour work week. Full-time employees receive 14 paid holidays, a company phone and iPad and performance bonuses.

After 90 days you will be eligible for two weeks’ paid time off (PTO) and a raise.

Applications can be completed in person at 905 Wheeling Ave. Cambridge, M-F from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, or you can obtain one by sending an email request to our Executive Director, Ron Gombeda, at [email protected].

The CDC works to acquire and rehab dilapidated houses. Once completed, the home is offered as an affordable rental home for area individuals and families. This program ensures individuals have housing, while improving area neighborhoods.

FREE COMMUNITY COOKOUT 🍔🌭

Come hang out with us on August 20 from 12:00 PM–2:00 PM for a FREE Community Cookout hosted by the Guernsey County CDC and MOVE Staffing. Located in the MOVE parking lot 914 Wheeling Ave!

We’ll have hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and lemonade, and most importantly, a chance to connect with people and resources right here in our community.

Community agencies joining us include Allwell, Bridges to Wellness, Lue Haven, Behavioral Health Choices, MOVE Staffing, and more.

If your agency or organization would like to set up an information table, pass out resources, or donate a sweet treat please contact Kyra or Lexi.

Everyone is welcome. Come grab lunch, meet your neighbors, and see what resources are available in our community. Together, anything is possible!

Yesterday we completed another ramp for an area resident. By providing these ramps, we ensure individuals can safely navigate to and from their home, which enables them to stay mobile and active in our community.

Funding for our this program has been provided by the John W. and Edna McManus Shepard Fund, Peoples Bank, and private donations.

Yesterday we had three of our employees help with Guernsey County Habitat for Humanity's Project Playhouse. When organizations and individuals work together our community is a better place to live and work!
