💙🏒 How You Can Support the Christian Ciskal Memorial Foundation 🏒💙
We’ve received so many heartfelt messages from the local and hockey community asking how they can support the Christian Ciskal Memorial Foundation — and we are incredibly grateful.

Christian J Ciskal Memorial Page
He was a 14 year old who was dedicated to hockey. He ate, breathed, and lived hockey.
Through our annual memorial tournament, fundraising efforts, and basket raffle, The Christian Ciskal Memorial Foundation proudly awards both hardship scholarships and high school scholarships. Our hardship scholarships are designed to support families within our community who may be struggling to afford sports activities or equipment for their child.
Our goal is simple: to help kids stay engaged in the sports they love, regardless of financial challenges.
We are excited to announce that the Christian Ciskal Memorial Foundation has awarded its first hardship scholarship to a family within the Cheektowaga Warriors community. Through this scholarship, we were able to cover a player’s ice bill, allowing them to remain active in the sport they love while easing the financial burden on their family.
We look forward to continuing Christian’s legacy by supporting even more young athletes in our community.

On behalf of myself my wife Tammy, and my daughter Vicky we just want to thank all the teams returning or new for coming out to help us keep Christians name alive through his passion for hockey. Sitting there watching these kids brought back so many memories, I smiled, I cried. A lot of emotions this weekend. Christians story was stopped way too soon he had so much going for him not just as a son or brother but as a friend and teammate.
That is why we love handing the MVP pucks out the the kids who show Christians dedication, and love for the game. The look on there faces says it all.
The basket raffle, the 50/50 proceeds all go to a scholarship, we receive no profits. We need sponsors to maybe make some donations so maybe a child less fortunate can have a chance to play hockey ,buy equipment. We struggled financially where we almost took him out of hockey. But the team saw his skills and dedication they helped us out make it happen.
So in closing if you have any questions, want to know more please do not hesitate.
Thank you all!!!
Hello everyone,
The Town of Cheektowaga will be hosting the second annual Christian Ciskal Memorial Tournament this year the weekend of November 7-10, 2025.
For those who are not familiar with this tournament, it is something that is near and dear to my heart and something that I am grateful to the Town and Tony Pierino for supporting.
The purpose of the tournament is to celebrate Christian's life and his love for hockey, and most importantly to raise money for a scholarship program in the name of Christian Ciskal. Last year we were able to raise over $3K that will be given out this year in the form of scholarships as well as to families within our community that may have a hardship with ice fees or equipment. Our ability to raise money for this purpose relies on our Basket Raffle and 50/50 tickets sold at the event.
We ask that anyone that is interested in donating to this tournament as a give back to the local community please contact Brandy Claar @ (716)984-1550 or via email at [email protected]
We would like to collect all donations no later than the third week of October (10/17/25).
Last year the community really showed up to support this effort and for that I am beyond appreciative and looking to be bigger and better this year.
Thank you,
Brandy Claar
