In a battle between two undefeated teams, MO 12u Red emerged with a 3-1 victory over the Hackettstown Cobras.

Mt. Olive struck first with a leadoff single for Morgan Friedrich and a walk for Brynn Backman. Zoe Wroblewski followed with a frozen rope double driving in both runs. Ella Wijatyk earned a walk, and on an additional wild pitch Wroblewski took home putting MO up 3-0. Elianna Sprague singled and Morgan Belfiore’s patience at the plate granted her the 7th straight Marauder to reach base. A quick defensive bottom of the first, including a bang-bang throw from Wijatyk to Wroblewski to catch the runner stealing second, turned it back over to MO bats.

A strategic pitching change for the Cobras silenced the Marauder scoring despite a bunt single for Madelyn Steel and a pair of walks for Teagan Callahan. The damage, however, was already done. The Cobras only earned 1 hit and drove in 1 run on a fielder’s choice. Sprague delivered 8 strikeouts and demonstrated true grit in the face of noise, darkness, and fatigue. The defense had her back all game including 4 putouts for Backman, an inning-ending assist for Wroblewski, and a second caught stealing for Wijatyk, this time Belfiore with the tag at third.

12u Red improves to 6-0. Next up: the formidable Jefferson Falcons at Turkey Brook Friday 9/25. Let’s Go, MO!

MARAUDERS 10U — WEEKEND RECAP

It was a tough weekend on the scoreboard for the Marauders, but one
that gave this group plenty to build on.

Friday vs. Long Valley

The Marauders battled Long Valley Friday night, falling 11–3 after a
six-run fourth inning broke open what had been a competitive game.

Ben Belfiore, Nico Wijatyk and Eric Prieto each picked up hits, with
Emerson McNamara driving in a run. The Marauders were aggressive once
they reached base, stealing seven bags behind Ben, Emerson, Jack
Nicholl and Mateo Rivera.

Ben battled through three innings on the mound before Mateo came in to
finish the game. Michael Hill and Vincent Romano also found their way
on base as the Marauders continued to compete throughout the night.

Saturday vs. Triboro

The Marauders were right back at it Saturday against a strong Triboro
team. Mateo Rivera picked up the Marauders' hit, while Ben Belfiore,
Jack Nicholl, Emerson McNamara and Gabriel Maddison reached base. Jack
added two stolen bases as the Marauders continued to stay aggressive.

Emerson took the ball and battled on the mound before Jack came in to
finish the game.

It wasn't the weekend we wanted, but weekends like this are part of
the process. Nico Wijatyk, Oliver Atwater, Michael Hill, Max
Arlauskas, Vincent Romano, Gabriel Maddison, Michael Orzillo and Eric
Prieto all continued to battle alongside their teammates through two
difficult games.

There is plenty for this group to work on, but also plenty of
opportunity ahead. The key to success is to have fun and show focus, effort and energy on every pitch.

Next up, we get another chance to compete with a doubleheader against
the Kinnelon Colts on Sunday, September 27.

🔥🥎 8U Marauders Bring the Heat in Saturday’s Doubleheader! 🥎🔥

The 8U Marauders bats were on fire this weekend as they took on Sparta White in a doubleheader! The girls battled through two exciting games, splitting the day with the Diamonds and improving their record to 2-4.

Game 1: Marauders 6 — Sparta White 10

Even with the loss, the Marauders’ bats stayed HOT, collecting 16 hits!

Kylee went 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs

Olivia went 3-for-3 with an RBI

Caroline went 2-for-3 with an RBI

Noelle added an RBI

Julia, Natalie & Sydney each went 2-for-3!

Defensively, the girls did a great job keeping the game close, making smart plays, and battling until the final out with a rally in the top of the 6th.

Game 2: Marauders 12 — Sparta White 5

The Marauders came out swinging and every single girl contributed to the win! 🔥

Julia: 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs

Natalie: 4-for-4 with an RBI

Olivia: 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs

Mackenzie: 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs

Kylee: 2-for-3 with an RBI

Sydney, Charlotte, Audrey, Finnley and Avery all added multiple hits for the Marauders.

And a HUGE defensive moment came from Noelle behind the plate, who made an incredible catch on a foul ball to record a key out for the Marauders!

Across the two games, the Marauders totaled:

41 HITS | 18 RUNS | 12 RBIs

What a day for these girls! They showed great teamwork, battled , and showed heart on the field.

Next stop… Long Valley Fall Frenzy!

The Marauders are taking their hot bats and big energy into the tournament this Saturday!

Marauders Red 12U Sweep Saturday Doubleheader

Marauders Red 12U put together a great day of softball Saturday, taking both games against Vernon Vikings 12U White, 11-1 and 14-1.

Game 1 — Marauders 11, Vernon 1

The Marauders came out firing, putting six runs on the board in the first inning. Brynn Backman got things going with an RBI single before Ella Wijatyk and Elianna Sprague followed with back-to-back doubles. Morgan Belfiore helped keep the inning rolling as the Marauders quickly took control.

Vernon tried to answer on the bases, but Ella threw out a runner attempting to steal second in the first inning, helping set the tone defensively.

The offense continued adding on behind hits from Ella, Elianna, Morgan, Isabella Stoltz and Braelynn Furman, while Zoe Wroblewski, Allison Genao, Madelyn Steel and Teagan Callahan all found ways to contribute and keep pressure on Vernon.

Elianna took care of the rest in the circle, allowing just two hits and striking out eight over four innings as the Marauders rolled to an 11-1 win with 17 stolen bases and no defensive errors.

Game 2 — Marauders 14, Vernon 1

The Marauders picked up right where they left off, scoring four in the first, five in the second and five more in the third.

Isabella had the big bat this time, driving in six runs on three hits, while Zoe added three hits of her own. Brynn, Morgan Belfiore and Allison added multiple hits as the lineup kept turning over. Ella reached base three times, and Morgan Friedrich, Braelynn, Madelyn and Teagan helped keep the pressure on with walks, runs and aggressive baserunning.

Morgan Belfiore was outstanding in the circle, holding Vernon hitless over three innings as the Marauders finished off the 14-1 victory.

Two games, 25 runs, 21 hits, 30 stolen bases and zero errors. More importantly, contributions came from up and down the lineup in two complete team wins.

Our 10U Lady Marauders opened their season with an exciting 13–9 win over Roxbury Rebels 10U. In their very first game together at the 10U level, the girls showed tremendous energy and confidence, using a big second inning to take control. Kelly S got the offense going with an RBI single, while McKenna S, Mackenzie F, Avery S, and Eden R all helped bring runs home. Eden’s two-run single was a big moment in the rally.

The Marauders added another big inning in the third, highlighted by Jaylynn R’s RBI single and Audrey W’s double, along with RBI contributions from Demi V, McKenna, Mackenzie, Eden, and Elise H. Audrey and Eden each had two hits, with Eden driving in three runs. Elise battled in the circle to start, Eden provided relief, and the defense was excellent. The team’s patience at the plate stood out as well, as they worked 14 walks in a strong opening win.

The Marauders kept competing in the second game, falling 13–8 but showing plenty of fight until the final out. Brielle W started in the circle and competed hard, and the defense continued its strong day. The girls also turned a double play, a great defensive highlight for the team’s first doubleheader together.

The Marauders mounted an impressive late rally, scoring six runs in the fourth inning. McKenna, Mackenzie, Eden, Elise, Avery, and Reese S all contributed runs during the comeback effort. Eden went 2-for-2, drove in two runs, and stole two bases, while Elise also had two RBIs. Avery led the team with three walks as the Marauders again showed great patience at the plate. Proud of every player for a fun, competitive first day—on to High Point tomorrow! ❤️💛🖤🥎

Mt. Olive 12u Red shut out the Sparta Diamonds 8-0 on Friday thanks to strong pitching, solid defense, and a huge 7-run second inning.

Morgan Friedrich went 2-3 with 2 RBIs. Brynn Backman batted 2 singles. Zoe Wroblewski, Ella Wijatyk, Elianna Sprague, Morgan Belfiore, Isabella Stoltz, and Kylie Huber each collected a hit driving in three runs. Well timed walks (Maddie Steel led with 2) and aggressive base running (Sprague led with 4) piled on 3 additional MO runs, including an RBI apiece for Steel and Teagan Callahan.

The MO defense flashed the leather fielding 8 outs. Sprague and Friedrich combined for a 1-3 double play. Braelynn Furman robbed a multi-base hit from the depths of Right. Wroblewski, Steel, and Isabella Stoltz also made impressive infield assists. Sprague and Belfiore split five innings, striking out 7 and allowing only 2 hits.

These ladies are locked in and planning to carry that momentum into their doubleheader against Vernon this Saturday. Let’s do this!

8U Marauders Earn Their First Win of the Season!

The 8U Marauders took the field this past Saturday for their first double header of the season against the Long Valley Lasers. In two hard‑fought battles, the teams split the day with identical scores of 8–10, securing the Marauders’ first win of the season.

Game 1 Recap (8–10)

The Marauder bats were on fire from the first pitch, piling up 20 hits in a thrilling back‑and‑forth matchup.

Makenzie led the offense with a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate. Julia added 3 hits and 2 RBIs, while Charlotte contributed 2 hits and 2 RBIs of her own.

The lineup stayed hot as Natalie, Kylee, Noelle, and Finnley all delivered multiple hits and RBIs, powering the team’s 8 runs. Caroline and Avery added solid hits to round out a dominant offensive showing.

Defensively, the entire team stepped up, making key plays throughout the game to keep it close and competitive. Lots of hustle by Audrey in the outfield to get the ball in quickly to hold the Lasers on the bases.

Game 2 Recap (10–8)

Game 2 was another intense back‑and‑forth battle, with the Marauders’ offense staying red‑hot throughout the game.

In the bottom of the 5th, a clutch single by Makenziedrove in Kylee for the tying run, swinging the momentum back to the Marauders. Moments later, Julia ripped a double, scoring Makenzie and Avery to give the Marauders a 10–8 lead.

In the top of the 6th, the Marauders’ defense locked in. Makenzie and Olivia each recorded two big putouts, shutting down the Lasers’ final push. The last out came on a ground ball to shortstop Julia, who flipped it cleanly to Kylee at third to secure the Marauders’ first win of the season.

There is no rest for this team as they head to Sparta on Saturday for a double header with the Sparta Diamonds White Team.
