Now that Labor Day is over, and the leaves are changing, it's time for me to introduce you to Blue. 💙 He's officially registered with us for the 2026-2027 season, and can't wait for YOU to register this season too!

The Boston Bruins have Blades, Maine Black Bears have Bananas, and MJBB now officially has Blue.

Blue may still be a cub, but that doesn't mean he won't be going on adventures, showing up to practices, exploring our gorgeous state, cheering on our players, and giving you little sneak peeks around our hockey community!

What's even better? He's penpals with Lew from Midcoast Youth Hockey - Jr. Polar Bears!

What happens when a Jr. Black Bear becomes friends with a Jr. Polar Bear?

I guess we're about to find out!

We know it’s a holiday, but we want to take a minute to send out a quick final reminder that if your player is planning on playing in one of our house team programs (6U-14U, co-ed or girls teams) and wants their jersey personalized with their name on it … the time to sign up is now. We will be locking jersey personalization after September 10 for all age groups!

Once that happens, we will still accept registrations for programs with space but won’t be able to guarantee a personalized jersey for your player. So, please sign up and be sure to check your email for the link to submit your size and player’s number preference.

Learn to Play Hockey does not fall into this category as we collect jerseys to refresh them each year. That program remains open while there is space as well.

So far close to 80% of our families have sent in their jersey size and number requests. Great work! Let’s make it 100% by Thursday!

It’s no secret that participation in girls hockey is exploding, and Midcoast continues to be a part of the movement.

We are so excited to see the expansion of the Tier 4 girls division this year as well as add opportunities for girls of all ages of our own!

Today we kicked off our inaugural Girls Camp, providing participating girls with the chance to come together and grow to start the season strong. This 5 session camp will help challenge our girls to be the best they can be, on and off the ice … and be ready for everything this year no matter their age group.

Go Polar Bears!!!
