Heartbreak has struck the Harlem basketball community. Kinu Rochford, 35, a former Fairleigh Dickinson University standout who went on to build a decade-long professional career across Europe, was tragically shot and killed Friday night during the Kingdom Games tournament.

Two bystanders, a 28 year old man and a 22 year old woman, were also wounded and are expected to recover. Beyond basketball, Rochford was remembered as a devoted father and a coordinator at WIN, where he helped homeless families rebuild their lives.

Tributes have poured in from FDU, teammates, and loved ones honoring his leadership and generous spirit. Police continue searching for the shooter as the community calls for peace and justice.
