We're excited to being working with the Town of Southeast Town Supervisor's Office to host one final celebration of the USA's 250th birthday!! Our USA 250 PARADE will be taking place on Saturday, Sept 26th (the same day as the Brewster Rotary's Brewster Fall Festival) at 11:00am and will run from the Brewster Volunteer Fire Department Station on North Main Street to Southeast Veterans' Park. There, a reading of the Declaration of Independence will take place before all are invited to head up to Main Street for the Fall Festival!!

We hope to see everyone out in attendance to watch the parade, and all community groups interested in celebrating our nation are welcome to march with us!! If you represent a group and would like to signup for the event, please e-mail us at [email protected] for more information.

Thanks and we look forward to seeing everyone there!!

UPDATES: Town Beach @ Tonetta Lake and Blackberry Park District Pool

Just as a reminder, with the school year kicking off this week and our lifeguards either back in college or prepping for high school, the Town Beach @ Tonetta Lake as well as the Blackberry Park District Pool will not open Monday through Friday this week. They will reopen for the Sat, Sun & Mon of Labor Day Weekend (8/5 - 8/8), for one last summer hurrah. We hope to see y'all out with us then!

THE TOWN BEACH @ TONETTA LAKE has been cleared to reopen today and for this weekend!! We're open from 12:00p to 7:00p today and 11:00a to 7:00p on Sat & Sunday.

The swim area at the Town Beach @ Tonetta Lake will remain closed today, 8/27. Due to potential storms throughout the day we will not be renting kayaks either. We hope to be able to open tomorrow and will let everyone know once we have further updates. Thank you in advance for understanding.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

The swim area at the Town Beach (Phillips Beach) @ Tonetta Lake has closed for the day due to water quality issues. It will remain closed through tomorrow, Tuesday the 25th, and we hope to be able to reopen at some point on Wednesday (although we will keep everyone posted as we go). The beach will be open to all free of charge though from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, so come enjoy some relaxation in the sun or a discounted kayak rental as a way to explore the lake from a different perspective! We just are unable to permit anyone to swim in the water at this time. We thank you in advance for understanding.

Please note that this announcement and closure is specific to our swim area and may or may not be indicative of issues elsewhere on the lake. That said, all people entering public bodies of water should always exercise proper discretion before doing so.
