This one is for every AT who has made a call that changed someone's life, even if no one ever knew it.

The decisions you make aren't small. They're the reason athletes are still walking, still competing, still here.

That's not luck.
That's an AT doing a job that often gets undervalued.

Share this to spread the reminder.

1. Burnout as a badge of honor.
2. Chasing prestige over sustainability.
3. Staying in roles that don’t support you because “that’s just how it is.”
4. Suffering through a bad environment as a rite of passage.
5. The idea that caring more means giving more, with no limit.

The profession deserves better than this. And so do you.

Tell us what you would add below and share this if you’ve lived one of these.

A lot of ATs stay in roles that aren't working because they don't know what a role that works actually looks like.

They assume the exhaustion is normal.
That the lack of support is just part of the profession.
That sustainability is something that happens for other people in other settings.

It's not.

A supportive environment exists, but you have to know what to look for to find it.

ATs are more than what most people see.

More than the tape jobs.
More than the sidelines.
More than the emergency response.

You’re clinical decision-makers.
Healthcare professionals.
Risk managers.
Advocates for athlete safety.

The work you do matters. Not just in big moments, but in the thousands of decisions made behind the scenes that keep athletes safe, programs running, and communities healthy.

That deserves recognition.
That deserves respect.
And that deserves strong professional support systems.

If you're an AT, drop a 💙 below or share this post to help advocate for the value you bring.

We learned these the hard way so you don’t have to.

🎯 Your first role matters more than you think. Choose the environment, not just the title.

🎯 You can negotiate. Always negotiate.

🎯 Burnout is a signal, not a badge of honor.

🎯 Find your people early. This profession is better together.

🎯 You are a healthcare professional from day one. Own it.

Save this and share it with an AT who is early in their career and needs to hear it.

Every AT knows what it feels like when the season takes over.

The early weeks are the window to build the habits that carry you through it.

Save this & share with a fellow AT who needs it.

ATvantage was built by ATs, for ATs.

That means when we talk about unsustainable roles, we’re not speaking theoretically. We’ve been there. We’ve felt the weight of environments that asked everything and gave back very little.

That lived experience is what shapes how we think about staffing, structure, and what this profession actually deserves.

It’s not just a tagline. It’s the reason we built this differently.

The AT profession isn't losing people because the work isn't meaningful.

It's losing them because too many roles aren't built to sustain the people doing the work.

If this hits close to home for you or someone you know, share it.

The more honestly we talk about why ATs leave, the better chance we have of building environments worth staying in.

Share your thoughts or experience below, let's talk about it.

ATs show up in schools, communities, and settings most people never think about.

Preventing injuries, managing emergencies, protecting lives.

Every single day, and often without the appreciation they deserve.

Tag an AT below to show them some gratitude, in a profession that too often goes unrecognized.

Are you documenting in your phone notes, Google Sheets, or via paper forms?

Most ATs are documenting injuries in places that aren't secure, aren't compliant, and won't hold up if it ever matters.

Not because they're careless. Because the compliant tools have always been priced for organizations and built around rosters that solo and per diem ATs don't have.

InjureFree on the Fly inside SMCC changes that. It's free and HIPAA- and FERPA-compliant.
